Jonah’s gaze turned icy in an instant. Inside the room, Odie spoke calmly, “Jonah, show some respect to Ms. Sandy.”
“Did you hear that? I’m your boss’s lifesaver and his fiancée. If you give me that look one more time, I’ll have him gouge out your eyes and feed them to the dogs!”
With that, Sandy spun on her heel and headed back to her suite.
Jonah frowned deeply, while Odie let out a cold chuckle. “Lucky woman. If she had come just a bit earlier, I would have made sure she was burnt alive in that fire!”
“Boss, she is Caelum’s daughter after all…”
“I know. Otherwise, her words alone would have been enough to warrant her death a hundred times over.”
“So, what’s the plan now, boss?”
Odie replied nonchalantly, “Get me a place to stay.”
“I’ve already had someone arrange it.”
“Make it next to Sophie’s apartment.”
“What?” Jonah thought he misheard. “Boss, that woman is trouble.”
They had initially thought Sophie was merely relying on James' resources, and later on, Colby, to gain some fame. But now, they had discovered that not only did Sophie have the support of the Dennis family, the Tredgold family, and the Aldridge family, but she was also the power behind the S Corporation.
Colby protected her with his life. If Odie tried to move against Sophie again, Colby might actually kill him.
The more they provoked her, the more trouble they would invite.
“I don’t plan on provoking her, but Sandy despises Sophie. We have to ease her worries.” Odie sneered.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
