Sophie had a plan ready in no time. She made her way to the toppled champagne tower Sandy had knocked over earlier. When no one was looking, she bent down and gently nicked her ankle with a shard of the broken champagne glass.
"Ouch!" Sophie's cry grabbed everyone's attention.
Sandy recognized the voice and saw that it was indeed Sophie.
"Sophie?"
Sandy's anger flared up, and she also remembered how Sophie had bullied her friend. She marched over, ready to slap Sophie, but Caelum's voice rang out, "Sandy! Stop!"
Caelum's stern interruption made Sandy stomp her foot in frustration. "Dad! This woman stole Colby and made Vanessa a laughingstock. Why can't I hit her?"
"Enough, Sandy. We've had enough drama today. You need to control your temper. She's a guest and got hurt because of your antics. If you hit her, people will say we have no manners."
Caelum turned and walked toward Sophie.
Sophie was caught off guard. She hadn't expected Caelum to approach her, and she felt a bit nervous. Caelum, known for his cunning ways, made her wonder what he was planning.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Caelum bent down, glanced at Sophie's ankle, and said, "The injury isn't serious. Looks like an accidental cut. How about this: you go upstairs, and I'll arrange for someone to clean your wound."
Caelum's previously stern eyes now held a touch of kindness.
Sophie thought she might be imagining things. Sandy, not far away, ran up to Caelum, angrily saying, "Dad! Why are you being nice to her? Do you know she..."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
