When Jonah shoved Sophie into the car, he slipped a blindfold over her eyes.
Sophie frowned. "Is this really necessary?"
"Yes, it is." Odie, sitting beside her, chimed in, "You're too clever for your own good. Just taking precautions so you don't outsmart us again."
Hearing this, Sophie sighed and put on the blindfold herself. She already knew about Odie's grand mansion purchase in the city center anyway.
According to their plan, Colby should be guarding the outskirts of Minton Estate by now.
Vanessa, sitting in the front seat, glanced at Sophie in the rearview mirror, feeling a tinge of unease. "What are you planning to do with Sophie?"
"Ms. Vanessa, you've achieved your goal. Why worry about her now?"
"Are... are you going to kill her?"
Vanessa's voice trembled. If Sophie returned to Colby alive, then everything she had done today would be for nothing.
Odie raised an eyebrow. "Do you want her dead or alive, Ms. Vanessa?"
The question hung in the air, and Vanessa found herself at a loss. Did she want Sophie dead? She had never killed anyone before. Shoud Sophie be alive? That meant she'd never have Colby to herself.
"You only get one choice, Ms. Vanessa. Think carefully before you answer," Odie said.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
