"Boss, what should we do with these folks? Should we take care of them?"
Hearing this, Sophie frowned. "Take care of them?"
"Hold on a sec!" Colby coughed twice, his glance turning icy. "What do you mean by 'take care of them'? Since when have I 'taken care of' anyone?"
"Uh..." His men were stunned.
If they weren't going to deal with these people, why were they even here? Normally, they were quick and efficient in handling matters.
Colby said, "Tie them up and hold them for now. Then, deal with the surveillance around here."
"Boss, should we smash the surveillance?"
Sophie's frown deepened. "Smash it?"
Colby glared at them again. "Just erase the footage.Who said anything about smashing it?"
"…Oh, isn't that just brutishly simple."
Sophie gave Colby a thoughtful glance. "Is this how you used to handle things overseas?"
"Honey, they handle it like that. It has nothing to do with me." Colby distanced himself from the blame, leaving his men dumbfounded.
Wasn't it always the boss who gave the orders, and they carried them out? Without his command, they wouldn't dare lift a finger.
Sophie gave Colby a sidelong glance. "Let's focus on the task at hand. We'll settle our scores later."
Colby frowned, turning to his men. "Did you hear that? Focus on the task at hand. We’ll settle scores later!"
Inside the Minton estate, all the maids and security personnel were subdued by Colby's men, each of them squatting in the living room, not daring to raise their heads.
Sophie asked, "Tell me, where is Polly being held?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
