Hearing James's voice, Angelo nearly jumped out of his skin, almost tumbling down the stairs.
When he realized it was James standing before him, Angelo's shock deepened. "You got caught too?!"
Rick glanced at James, then at Angelo, and wisely stepped back, keeping his distance.
Seeing Rick retreat, Angelo felt even more convinced of his suspicions. James must have been captured and brought here too!
Without wasting a second, Angelo pulled James aside and blurted out, "How did you end up getting caught? What are they planning to do with you? How's your situation? Are they going to lock us up together? Should we pretend we don't know each other?"
Angelo fired off a barrage of questions.
Even though he'd only been here a few days, he'd noticed that everyone in this place was as sly as a fox, their schemes twisted more intricately than pretzels!
He knew he couldn't outsmart this bunch in their mind games!
"Let's keep my presence here under wraps, especially from Sophie, okay?"
"Why? Didn't you come back to Devonport because of her? Why do a good deed and not take credit for it?"
Angelo, visibly nervous, added, "And is it true that you killed your wife? I've been seeing it all over the news. I don't want to believe it, but knowing you... You didn't really kill her, did you?"
"I did."
Angelo's eyes widened in shock. "You really killed Nichole?"
"Scared?"
"..."
Angelo scratched his head. "Not really."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
