"Are you afraid of him?"
Drake had read her mind, and wondered how to explain it. Her words, however, stiffened him.
'Afraid of him? The King of the Underworld?'
Drake was amused and almost burst into laughter.
"Do you think I fear anyone?"
Sophia shook her head. However, his reaction was too weird.
"Sophia, did he harass you? You are my wife. I'm gonna kill him."
Seeing that he was about to leave, Sophia hurriedly hugged him from behind to stop him.
"No. He didn't."
"Let go of me. I've been kicked out of the Riley family, so you think I'm afraid of him, huh?"
"Of course not."
Although Sophia denied it, she was worried.
The King of the Underworld was a legendary man. She was afraid Drake would be in danger after meeting him.
"Sophia, you thought so. I read your mind."
As soon as Drake spoke, he regretted it. He had blamed himself for enraging her just now as the King of the Underworld. And now his words would only add fuel to the fire.
Sophia looked into his eyes. "Don't say that again, Drake. It's been almost a month since you stepped down. Have I belittled you in the past month?"
"You can stop loving me. But you should trust me."
Drake hurriedly hugged her. "Don't listen to my nonsense, Sophia. I've never thought so."
Sophia softened her tone of voice. "Don't worry, Drake. The King of the Underworld wants to date me, but you are the only man I love all my life."
Drake hugged her tightly and decided to stop making fun of her. Or he might lose his beloved wife.
When it was late at night, Paul messaged him. "Mr. Riley, has Mrs. Riley known your identity?"
Drake replied, feeling an intense headache, "I screwed up today's appointment."
Paul was impressed. "Well done!" he replied half jokingly.
Drake wished to beat him up as Paul had the guts to tease him.
"Tell me how to let her know the truth?"
Paul couldn't figure out any method so far. After all, Drake had made Sophia have a terrible impression of the King of the Underworld. It was indeed impressive.
"Let me think about it. I'll tell you later, Mr. Riley."
The following morning, Sophia went to Rashad's office.
Due to others' wild guesses about their relationship, her appearance raised a mighty uproar immediately.
When Rashad saw her, he was surprised. Sophia had been hiding from him for days. He didn't expect her to appear suddenly.
"Sophia..."
"Stopping calling my first name. You don't deserve it."
Sophia had always talked to him unkindly before, but she had never been so rude as today. Rashad could tell he must have done something to irritate her.
He walked to her. "What have I done to offend you, Sophia?"
Sophia subconsciously flinched. "Mr. Witt, please call me Ms. Lawson or Sophia Lawson."
Her resistance upset Rashad.
"Sophia, I..."
Rashad was at a loss for words.
