Chapter 576 Tricking Helena
They seemed to be anxious. Seeing Helena, they immediately pulled her over and pressed her to sit down.
Hearing the ringing tone of her phone, Sophia stood up and was about to answer in the corridor. Coincidentally, she saw Travis come to her.
"How is it going? Is everything ready?"
Sophia nodded at him in response.
Helena was surprised when she was required to put on a wedding gown. "Will we shoot some wedding photos?"
Chloe nodded. "Exactly! Travis is waiting for you. Hurry."
'Shoot wedding photos?'
Helena wondered why it was arranged in a restaurant instead of a photo studio or somewhere with beautiful landscapes.
She guessed they might have also arranged a helicopter to send her later.
Somehow, Helena looked forward to what would happen next.
Chloe and Sophia also put on dresses. However, they blindfolded Helena. Therefore, Helena had no idea where she would be taken to.
She heard a door open. When the eye mask was taken off, she saw a hall packed with people, and her Mr. Right was waiting for her on the other end of the aisle.
Helena glanced around the hall with a baffled expression. It was decorated like a fairyland, and she was stunned.
An emcee announced, "All right. Bridegroom, you can go to your bride now."
Travis rarely smiled. However, as soon as he saw Helena, a smile spread across his face. He strode towards her steadily.
Helena gaped at him as she saw many people from the Lawson and the Warburg families and many friends.
She wondered if she was dreaming.
Travis stood before her. Sophia and Chloe beamed at the couple.
Sophia went to Drake's side, and Bailey carefully took Chloe away.
Everyone focused on Travis and Helena.
Travis knelt on one knee. "Helena, will you marry me?"
Helena widened her eyes and was tongue-tied. She couldn't help flinching in shock.
Travis raised his head, passing the bouquet to her.
"I knew you'd be surprised as I had never told you about our wedding ceremony. You've married me. I must give you a grand wedding, Helena."
"Since I arrived in Sealand, I've prepared for this wedding. Although both our families are in Pinkerton. I planned to hold the ceremony here to surprise you."
Helena had never expected it to happen. Covering her lips, she watched him and felt touched.
"I know you always lack a sense of security after marrying me. As a matter of fact, I've never forgotten about this matter."
"I never told you I love you. So, you must have thought it's your one-sided love that binds us together."
"Helena, I want you to know: I love you, and I've loved you for many years."
"Maybe when you were less than 10 or only a teenager, I couldn't help thinking of you, although I knew it was wrong."
"Whenever you went to my family house to find Sophia, I showed up in front of you, pretending to be calm. It's lucky you also love me. I'm so happy to be your husband."
"Helena, since we've been brought together by fate, please... marry me and go through our ceremony and live happily after with me. We shall never be apart. What do you think?"
Helena had met Travis for decades but had never heard him speak so many words. Although he didn't use tapestry of words, every single word was full of sincerity.
She had never expected him to be busy preparing the wedding ceremony in the past few days. It happened too suddenly.
She was surprised indeed.
Sophia prompted anxiously, "Helena, hurry. Answer Travis."
Chloe echoed, "Right, Helena. You've been waiting for this day long, right?"
Helena, however, burst into laughter. "Travis, I can't answer you now. You've just proposed to me. How can we get married right away? Aren't you supposed to give me more time to get ready?"
Travis stood up, gazing at her in a warning. "What else do you want to do?"
"I..."
His aura was so powerful that Helena was at a loss for what to say.
"Eh? If you say no, I won't mind kidnapping you. I dare you to reject me."
Helena shook her head resignedly. "See? You don't care about my decision at all."
"I wish you could say yes."
Helena's heart softened.
The next second, Travis added, "And you can only give me a positive answer."
Helena was impressed.
She couldn't do anything but reach out her hand to him.
"Seems I can only say yes."
Travis dragged her closer, scooped her up, and carried her toward the emcee.
In an instant, everyone clapped.
Usually, the bridegroom and bride would walk down the aisle hand-in-hand. However, Travis carried Helena while walking, utterly different from others.
Many guests smiled at them. Helena blushed scarlet.
When Travis stood before the emcee, Helena patted his shoulder and muttered. "Can you put me down?"
Travis finally put her down.
The ceremony began.
This ceremony was different from Drake's. Travis preferred to combine the eastern and western styles together.
The emcee asked Helena if she was willing to be Travis' wife and would never part.
Helena's heart thumped, which hadn't happened for a long time. She still wondered if it was just her illusion.
Even if it was, she was willing to continue.
"Yes," she answered.
The emcee asked Travis the same question.
Helena became tenser, wondering if Travis would suddenly tell her it was just a joke to make fun of her.
Travis stared at her with a smile and gave a positive answer.
His reply made Helena's eyes glimmer in excitement.
"OK. You may wear the ring for each other."
Two rings were passed to them. Helena watched the scene, wondering how Travis had managed to do it behind her back.
When Travis put the ring on her finger, he said triumphantly, "From now on, you are mine. Don't ever think of escaping."
Helena also put a ring on his ring finger. "You are right, Travis. After wearing this ring, you can't regret it anymore. Although we are not Christian, we've made a vow. If you dare to betray me, I won't let go of you."
