Chapter 610 We've Been Trying, But...
Drake looked at Baron and Sophia, especially Sophia, "What is happening with you two?"
Sophia smiled, but she didn't answer.
"Aren't you gonna tell me?"
Drake knew something was going on between them.
"You really wanna know?"
Drake got more curious, but it looked like Sophia wasn't going to tell him.
"It's fine if you don't wanna say."
"I think Mom and Dad might remarry."
Drake didn't look at Sophia just now, but he turned around to stare at her when he heard her.
He said nothing, but Sophia could tell what he was thinking. And she nodded.
A moment later, a smile appeared on his face.
"We should go."
Sophia had been looking at him. He didn't show happiness on his face, but she knew he was happy inside. After all, he had expected this for a very long time, and he even thought of this as a dream.
Rashad and Lily left, escorted by Paul. They left Sealand, where they had lived for less than six months.
Rashad was afraid to see Sophia before he left, but he still wanted to do so.
So he decided to see Sophia in the distance. After all, this might be the last time he could see her.
However, Paul turned his request down.
Lily was worried about her son and almost knelt to Paul. Yet Paul said, "You don't have to do this. It's not my decision. Mrs. Riley specifically said that she wouldn't see you no matter what you say."
"But I wouldn't let her see me."
"Just go!"
Paul urged Rashad.
Rashad realized that he was the one that Sophia didn't want to see the most. She hated him, and her hatred against him was never out of love.
Lily looked at him and whispered, "You still wanna see her? If you do, I have an idea!"
Rashad shook his head.
He wanted to, but it wouldn't be good for him. Then what was the point?
Lily heaved a sigh.
She and Rashad got on a plane. This time they went abroad and were not allowed to return for the rest of their lives.
If asked whether she realized what she had done was wrong, she wouldn't tell you because she never felt like she was the wrong one.
The plane flew above Sophia's company. And Rashad had been staring at it. If asked whether he had regrets, he would say no, as it wouldn't be regretful for him now since he had done everything he could to win Sophia over.
Meanwhile, Sophia and Helena were at Chloe's.
They came to see Chloe and her baby once in a while. And they literally watched the baby grow.
"This cutie looks more gorgeous as time goes by."
Helena reached out her hand to play with Chloe's baby.
Chloe looked at her with a smile, "Then have one yourself. I'm telling you, if you don't have one soon, our kids can't have fun with yours."
Helena touched her belly with frustration, "We've been trying, but..."
"Helena, no offense, but you've been staying up late for work for years. It's not good for your body. You should see a doctor sometime. Or just postpone your work and rest for a couple of months."
Helena then thought of something when she heard this.
"You were right. Maybe I do have something wrong with my body. Chloe, thanks for the tip!"
Helena looked at Sophia, "You got the time? You wanna go to a hospital with me?"
Sophia looked back at her in surprise, "Now? Do you need to get an appointment?"
"I'm fine with any doctors. I'm not picky as long as he keeps it a secret."
"Well, then, you still don't have to rush!"
Chloe leaned against the bed and couldn't help laughing, "Guess what? She's rushing to have a baby for your brother."
Sophia then replied, "But not a baby boy. We like baby girls!"
"Okay! I'll try!"
Chloe sighed, "The doctor said I still need to rest for another week after giving birth. Or I could come with you."
Sophia looked at her, "Actually, you might need another two months to recover fully. A month couldn't do that much for your body."
"No way!" Chloe was not a fan of resting at home, "You have no idea how I've been through these twenty days. I can't stay at home any longer!"
Sophia and Helena exchanged a glance knowingly in a smile.
They then said goodbye to Chloe and went to the hospital since Helena was anxious.
Sophia understood why Helena didn't want Travis here at the hospital. Helena was worried that she couldn't think straight if Travis was the first to know something was wrong with her.
So Sophia said to Helena earnestly before she came in, "Helena, don't worry. I'm sure you are fine, okay?"
Helena nodded.
She came in, and Sophia was waiting outside.
A while later, Sophia noticed that someone was acting weirdly there. She pretended to walk around and then caught him before he knew it.
"Who are you? Why are you stalking us?"
That man didn't seem terrified but said smugly, "Mrs. Riley, if I were you, I would keep my nose out of this. Or you might be in great trouble."
There weren't many people who dared threaten Sophia. This man knew this, and yet he was just audacious. Sophia grabbed him by his collar and said, "Well? Then show me, how exactly are you gonna get me in trouble?"
Then Sophia threw him onto the ground heavily as she said.
The camera in that man's bag was shaken out.
Sophia walked over, picked up the camera and had a look at it. And she dodged when the man was about to take it.
"You are a paparazzo?"
"That's right, I am. I just recorded it when Helena went in. You better give me back my camera..."
Sophia directly smashed the camera on the ground before he could finish his sentence. And she also stomped on it.
"You!"
There was a rage in his eyes when he saw the broken camera.
Sophia then crouched down to check for a memory chip in it.
The man was about to hit her, but unexpectedly, she grabbed his ankle and threw him to the ground, landing on his back again.
It was painful, and it seemed more painful than before.
Seeing that nothing was much needed to pick up and the camera was unrecoverable, Sophia stood up, "I just hate you paparazzi. I get that you have to earn a living. But it is unacceptable to get money for shooting other people's privacy! It is so low and disgusting! I only smashed your camera today. But you wouldn't get off that easily if I see you next time doing this."
