Family Dinner.
Nicole was back, so of course Yvonne wasn't going anywhere.
She hovered protectively by Nicole's side, fierce as a mother wolf with her cub. Her gaze toward Jade and Brandon was sharp and threatening, as if she were staring down a pair of venomous cockroaches. "Stay away from Nicole. I don't even want to breathe the same air as you."
Mrs. White's hands were trembling with anger, and all her former haughtiness had evaporated.
She knew better than to provoke Yvonne, so she kept her distance.
"Nicole, they're all terrible people. They're the ones who killed your parents. I may not have proof yet, but I swear I'll see them behind bars one day," Yvonne said, her voice thick with emotion, her tone infinitely gentle as she spoke to Nicole.
Nicole looked at Yvonne with a hint of fear and nodded.
Alicia watched the two of them, a little envious.
To have such a wonderful aunt standing up for her—Nicole was truly lucky.
"What are you staring at?" Tyrone flicked Alicia lightly on the forehead, noticing her gaze.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Alicia glanced up at Tyrone. "I was just thinking… a princess is always a princess."
There were always people around to protect a princess.
"Yeah," Tyrone agreed, offering no denial.
Alicia dropped her gaze and fell silent.
"Come on, my little princess. Let's eat. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can head back to the hotel," Tyrone said, taking her hand and leading her toward the dining room.
All he wanted now was to be alone with Alicia.
But with the old man here, he couldn't just whisk her away.
Alicia stared at Tyrone in disbelief.
Did he just… call her his little princess?
She smiled bitterly, her eyes stinging. She wasn't even a Cinderella.
