Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 665

Chapter 665

Nicole remembered hearing Jacob say that the person who summoned him was a woman, but he only heard her voice and never met her in person.

"I'm sure it's Undercity. Jacob said that he had only heard the woman's voice before. So, there was no need to murder him unless she's someone from Undercity," she said slowly.

She could already feel a migraine coming as things kept happening one after another, like mushrooms after a rain.

"It's F&R Enterprise's trade fair in two days. I bought a flight ticket to head abroad tomorrow. Do you want to stay here?" Colton asked. Everything that had occurred in the country caught him off guard, and none of them could be solved easily.

F&R Enterprise?

Nicole quickly thought of Whitney. Based on Whitney's temperament, there was a high chance she would be in attendance, and Nicole was worried about her...

She massaged her aching head and said softly, "Okay, I'll go with you. We'll go to F&R's trade fair and then learn about the Clansies' affairs. When we return, we'll investigate your grandmother's death."

There was nothing much she could do now. Ella had been dead for so many years. It would be great if the evidence were still there, but someone must have deleted those crucial ones.

However, the Clancies had just died, so some clues might still be hanging around. So, it would be wise to go and have a look.

Colton felt his heart pang in heartache when he looked at Nicole's solemn expression. He kissed her head comfortingly. "Don't overthink this. Nothing will happen with me around."

She nodded lightly and gradually relaxed.

In the past few days, Bryan's supervision of Queenie had become lax, and she could even walk around now, but there would always be two bodyguards right behind her. He claimed they were there to protect her, but she knew they were only there to keep their eyes on her.

Bryan didn't panic even though he knew Pierre was arrested. After all, he didn't leave behind any proof that would link the case to him.

Queenie learned about the Gardners from Lydia. William firmly insisted that Madeline was the one who caused the car accident. She felt her lips curling up into a cold sneer as she confessed to Lydia that she was the main culprit behind this scandal.

Lydia didn't expect Queenie to be the mastermind behind this matter. So, she reprimanded sternly, "Queenie, how could you do that?! Your dad was in the car too! The Gardners despise Nicole now, but you may be implicated in this too!"

Of course, Queenie knew that her method was unwise and foolish, but if she didn't do this, she had to watch helplessly as Nicole and Colton grew closer as the days passed by. She resented that!

"Mom, come to the downtown shopping mall when you're free. I have something to talk to you about." Now that she was finally semi-free, she felt it better to clarify some things with Lydia face-to-face.

"Okay, I'll come right away," Lydia said immediately. Although they talked on the phone these few days, she knew that Queenie was forced to stay in Bryan's house. So, it was wonderful to learn that she could come out now. Plus, if Queenie wanted to meet her at the cafe in the downtown shopping mall, that would mean that the topic of discussion was unsafe to be discussed through a phone call.

Therefore, Queenie wanted to meet her and talk in person.

As it was Sunday, many people were bustling around in the shopping mall. Queenie stealthily walked upstairs with her hat on.

The mall was quite crowded. Hence, she accidentally bumped into a girl who was holding an ice cream. Unfortunately, the little girl lost her hold of the ice cream due to the collision. As a result, the ice cream fell and stuck onto Queenie's clothes.

Queenie instantly frowned in annoyance. She glared fiercely at the girl and barked, "What the hell?! Are you f*cking blind?" Then, she also directed her glare to the mother for good measure and hissed, "Watch your damn kid!"

Despite her arrogant and impolite demeanor, the girl's mother did not want to cause a scene, so she apologized profusely, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. How much is your dress? I'll compensate you."
