Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 700

Chapter 700

Nicole was at a loss when being hugged by Colton. He was taking advantage of her at the right time.

"I have an idea who is behind the model incident, but I don't know who knows about the Clancy Family," she spoke after a while.

After hugging her for a while, he let go. He had already sent someone to investigate the matters as soon as the news broke out.

"I didn't find out who was behind it, either, since they used an advanced approach, but I found out that the news was sent to the media via email. The media publicized everything in an effort to capitalize on the wave of popularity you've achieved as a result of what the model said," Colton calmly explained.

Nicole understood him, but she couldn't help but be surprised at his speed. The news had just broken out, but he had already undergone a thorough investigation. She nodded, answering, "Okay. I got it."

Seeing her calm appearance, Colton lowered his head, closed his eyes, and leaned into her ear, muttering, "Do you have a plan now?"

Raising a brow, she thought the instigators of such a menacing assault must have been targeting her. The issue with the model was easy to resolve. As long as she uploaded the video, the matter could be clarified.

In addition to that, Norman's affairs were relatively easy to resolve as well. Pierre had been caught, and after some torture, he confessed everything he did and was sent to the police station by Colton. The truth would be revealed in a few days.

As for Norman's wife and children, they were indeed assassinated. Her motive was proven by the fact that they abducted Hayden, so it felt as if she couldn't clear herself of the charge!

"It's easy to solve the other problems, but Norman's wife and children were killed the moment they stepped out of your door. Even if I tried to explain myself, I wouldn't have evidence to prove it." Nicole sighed while rubbing her forehead.

"There is a surveillance camera at the door, but the footage only captured them being shot and falling to the ground. I know it was done by the members of Undercity, but I can't find out who is behind it," Colton responded while pursing his lips.

Feeling powerless, she waved her hands. "I can only clarify the issues one by one for now, or we might not be able to go home at all."

Following that, she uploaded the video Hayden had previously sent to her and clarified that the model had intentionally pushed her.

However, the netizens online were now focused on Nicole murdering the four members of the Clancy Family. They didn't respond much to the clarification of this matter but kept urging her to explain her involvement in the Clancy Family's murder instead.

Nicole then posted, 'I cannot admit what I have not done!'

Although it was already a blatant denial, the public continued to express their skepticism based on mounting evidence from media reports and refused to let her go.

She logged off without saying anything, and no one was buying what she had to say anyway because she had lost credibility with the public.

Looking at her exhaustion, he placed a finger between her brows and wiggled, chuckling, "Don't frown. It doesn't look good on you."

Nicole slapped Colton's hand away in response and rasped, "Look at the situation, will you? Stop being childish."

"Don't worry, I will help you solve this matter," he reassured her with a smile.

She glanced at him suspiciously. It wasn't that she didn't believe his capability, but she was just wondering what method he would use to deal with this matter.

Since everyone was now bashing her on the internet, they wouldn't be fooled by straightforward assertions. In addition, the instigator who started everything continued to fan the flames, and the accusations leveled against her were only going to worsen as time passed.

"It's fine. I can solve problems on my own. They're all coming at me, anyway. They won't let me go so easily!" With a smirk, Nicole resolved to triumph over any obstacles in her path!
