Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 703

Chapter 703

Noah gazed intently at Nicole, and his hands, which hung at his sides, were clenched tightly.

After a while, he continued, "I know you have Gardner Corporation to support you, but I must seek justice for my master's family. I'm not afraid of offending the rich at all. All I want is justice!"

When he was done, he made it clear he didn't want to be there any longer and walked away. As she watched him walk away, she felt mixed emotions.

Colton had been standing by Nicole's side and listening to their conversation. He reached out and patted her head while uttering with a light chuckle, "Don't worry. We don't have to feel guilty for what we have not done. Let him carry on with the investigation."

She nodded. They found the actual perpetrator of Norman's death, and he was already subdued, but Undercity was responsible for the death of the Clancy Family member. The fact that Undercity could survive in this country for years was enough to prove how influential their power was. How could Noah go against Undercity alone?

"Send someone to protect him," she uttered after pondering for a while.

Colton's eyebrow arched. Seeing the serious look on Nicole's face, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Do you want to protect him even after he slandered you?"

She took a few steps forward, saying, "If he dies, the public might point their hands at me again. I've known him for quite a while. Even though he's stubborn, he doesn't have ill intentions. I don't think he's deliberately trying to harass me."

He agreed with a nod. What she said was indeed the truth. If Noah were to die at this time, regardless of the existence of evidence, the public would undoubtedly accuse her of murder once more!

"Don't think too much about it. I will tell Julian to watch out for him and won't allow anyone to hurt Noah," Colton responded.

For some reason, Nicole's expression faltered at the mention of Julian. However, when she heard that he would protect Noah, she didn't say much.

Since the last time Colton took her to meet his friend, he could sense the grudge between Nicole and Julian from that ashtray. Whenever Julian's name was mentioned, her expression would go off. He could only guess at the depth of their resentment toward one another.

Unable to hold back his curiosity, he inquired, "Nicole, I'm inquisitive about the kind of grudge you have against Julian. Every time I talk about him, you become upset."

Due to Nicole's ashtray, Colton asked Julian about their relationship before, but Julian looked bewildered as he didn't know when he had offended her. Colton had no choice but to ask her about it.

She pulled a long face, obviously unwilling to mention this matter, as she replied coldly, "Nothing. He just doesn't look like a good person. I don't like him."

Since she seemed reluctant to tell, he moved on without pestering her.

After the two exited the police station and were about to get into the car, a swarm of reporters appeared out of nowhere and started taking pictures of her. Facing the blinding flashlights, she squinted her eyes uncomfortably. She covered her eyes with her hands, but before she could react, she lost balance as the reporters started pushing forward. Fortunately, Colton, who was beside her, grabbed her in time so she didn't fall down.

"Miss Anderson, rumors have it that you killed the Clancy Family to seek revenge for your master, White Nicholson. Would you like to explain yourself?"

"Miss Anderson, according to reports, the Clancy Family once kidnapped your son. Is it true that you held a grudge against them, so you resorted to killing them?"

Nicole leaned back slightly against a sturdy and broad chest. Widening her eyes, she stared at the reporters in front of her with an icy gaze.
