Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 747

Chapter 747

Zachary saw Nicole agreeing and said nothing more. He turned around and went back upstairs.

Only Nicole was left alone in the large living room.

She sat on the couch alone, pondering over her thoughts for a while before dismissing them with a shake of her head.

Now, she could only take things one step at a time.

The next day, she noticed that he had already made breakfast.

The early morning sun cast a nice glow on him. He was wearing a pale yellow jacket and a pair of slacks. In his hands, he held a plate of food. As soon as she entered the kitchen, she could smell breakfast in the air.

Nicole had just woken up and washed her face. Her hair sat messily on the top of her head as she didn't really bother combing it so early. She smiled in amusement as she came closer and teased, "How are you so energetic so early in the morning? You've even made breakfast!"

Zachary heard Nicole's voice and chuckled lightly in response. He plated the food nicely and answered softly, "I've agreed to go abroad with Ms. Alicia next week. So this is the only breakfast I will be able to cook for you."

She didn't reply, but she pulled out a chair and sat down. "Hayden is still upstairs washing up; he'll come down soon. I'll be heading to the hospital today."

She pondered over her thoughts for a while before deciding to be honest and telling Zachary everything.

"This time, I want to bring Ms. Betty to go abroad with us. She has dementia, but she knows more than she lets on. So I want to bring her abroad to treat her condition."

Zachary didn't oppose her words and nodded. "I happen to know a doctor that specializes in that field. I'll contact them for you. You can send her there immediately as soon as you get off the plane."

She didn't expect that he would be so attentive. She didn't know what to say before she decided to thank him earnestly, "Thank you so much."

Once Hayden made his appearance, the three ate breakfast together. Then, Zachary left together with Nicole.

At first, she wanted to bring Hayden along, but he didn't want to go under the hot sun, and no convincing would get him to accompany her.

However, little did she know the moment she stepped out the door with Zachary, Hayden immediately called Colton, "Dad!"

When Colton heard Hayden's voice, he perked up instantly, and his gloomy mood was long forgotten. He rubbed his temple, and his voice softened. "Hayden. What's wrong?"

"Dad, mommy went out with Uncle Zachary," Hayden said seriously.

Although he liked and thought Uncle Zachary was a good person, he still preferred his mom and dad to be together.

As soon as Colton heard that Nicole and Zachary had gone out together, he immediately frowned. He had spent all night last night dealing with the Gardner Family matters.

Although Benjamin had agreed not to hold Nicole accountable for what happened, William's blood still ran through her veins. Therefore, he could not allow Colton to be with her in good conscience.

Olivia had even said the whole of their Gardner Family would disown him, and if he still wanted to be with her, he could leave the family.

For the first time, Colton felt utterly defeated. He thought for a moment before asking, "Then do you know where they are going?"

Hayden immediately sent the address of the hospital.

Colton said a few more words before hanging up. Then, he started up his car and drove toward the hospital.

Nicole had previously prepared a private room for Betty because of the fake doctor incident back then. She had even specially hired two nurses to take care of Betty.

The pair walked into the ward, and as soon as they entered, they saw Ms. Betty on the couch, staring blankly into the distance. Nicole requested for some privacy, so the nurses left the room, leaving the three of them in there.

"Ms. Betty," Nicole called out gently.

Betty heard her, then slowly looked up. When she saw it was Nicole, her dazed face instantly brightened. She stood up shakily and immediately wobbled toward Nicole. Betty held her hands with a bright smile.

"Madeline! Where is Nicky?"

Nicole knew that Betty thought that she was her mother. She was about to say something before Betty cut her off,

"Madeline, why don't I take Nicky out so you can talk to William? That way, he won't be able to threaten you with Nicky."
