Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 969

Chapter 969 A Contest

Upon hearing Nicole's words, Roger knew that she was worried about Colton and turned to look at her with a smile. "Boss, men's affairs are better left alone by you women."

Nicole was speechless, but she responded calmly, "The fight should stop at a certain point." Noticing how determined she was, Roger kept quiet and didn't argue anymore.

The group of men from Lome sat on the side and watched the show, thinking they could easily defeat a pretty face like Colton. Getting Roger to do so was a waste of talent. Roger, who had always been straightforward, immediately raised his fist which was larger than a sandbag. Then, he threw a punch.

Colton, who wore loose clothing and comfortable sneakers, casually avoided the blow. Noticing that, Roger frowned, but with years of experience up his sleeve, he was able to react quickly and threw another punch at Colton. However, Colton's body was light and agile, and no matter how Roger swung his fists, he couldn't hit him.

Meanwhile, Nicole stood by the side and frowned as she watched. She had been with Colton for so long, but besides seeing him go for morning runs, she hadn't seen him exercise much. She'd see him working out in the gym from time to time, which made her wonder when he had developed his skills.

Colton's continuous dodging irritated Roger, who scoffed and said, "Pretty boy, are you just going to keep dodging like this your whole life? If you're a man, face me head-on!" Hearing that, Colton still had the same expression on his face and didn't change his tactics. He lazily dodged Roger's attacks, which only served to make Roger more impatient, causing him to throw even more powerful punches.

In between the gaps in Roger's punches, Colton suddenly found a breakthrough and leaned forward before punching Roger directly in the stomach. After years of training, Roger's abdomen was as hard as a rock, and the punch made his own fist numb.

Colton quickly took a step back. Roger, on the other hand, felt uncomfortable after taking the punch. Although he had trained for many years, he still felt the pain. However, due to his ego, he pretended to be nonchalant and said, "Is that all the strength you've got? You might as well be nursing a baby."

After saying that, he wanted to charge forward, but Nicole spoke up and stopped him. "That's enough, let's stop here." Hearing that, Roger put his hands down, displeased. Since Nicole had spoken, he did not continue with the fight.

The next moment, Nicole stood up upon understanding what had just happened after watching the fight. Colton was not Roger's opponent when it came to face-to-face combat, but in terms of technique, Roger was no match for Colton.

"That was boring. All this pretty boy did was dodge my attacks. He's afraid to face me head-on." Roger spat and sneered.

Hearing that, there was a glint in Colton's eyes as looked up and sneered. "Those who only know how to use brute force won't get far."

"You… You're asking for a fight!" The provoked Roger was about to step forward, but Nicole stopped him and said deeply, "Don't forget what you're here for."

"I shall let this pretty boy off the hook." Roger finally gave up and waved his hand.

With that, Colton wiped off the sweat from the fight just now and turned around to enter the house without saying anything.

Following that, Nicole glanced at the big guys sitting outside. She knew most of them, and she thought for a moment before saying, "I've called someone to come and pick you guys up, and I've also arranged a hotel for you. Remember to stay cautious while you're here, and don't simply use violence. Your priority is to find Undercity first."

Roger smiled upon hearing that, revealing a row of pearly whites as he nodded. "Roger that, Boss."
