“Oh, please. I feel like you’re interested in that woman too. You’ve been staring at her nonstop since you left the men’s room. Don’t pretend you’re any better than them,” Yvette said with scorn.

Higgs, who had just been fooling around with her moments earlier, was still touching her while his eyes fixated on Maren: He didn’t even try to hide it.

If it weren’t for the fact that Higgs had the inheritance rights to the Marshall family and Yvette was making sacrifices for her own family’s business, she wouldn’t be interested in this man at all.

“What do you know? I’ve been keeping an eye on them to find out the proof to expose their fake relationship. It’s the only way to persuade the rest of the Marshalls and claim the inheritance.” Higgs denied it stubbornly.
