Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1634

Cheryl's expression swiftly changed into one of pure fury. “Trying to harass me is a death sentence.”

Her companions standing behind her were each glaring at Hagen too.

But Hagen wasn't in the slightest bit concerned. His uncle, Boris, was a member of the Great Cabinet, and Hagen's family had recently agreed to give him up to be adopted by Boris. He was going to become Boris Tucker's son and his lawful heir!

Cheryl's father was a lowly minister. With old President Windsor sick and bedridden, the Stewart family was done for.

Hagen did not care for the Stewart family anymore, else he would not have voiced out

such a shameless request.

He sneered, “Cheryl, the Stewart family is already done for. Even your father has to bow his head down to me and call me 'Mr. Tucker¹ politely. If he knew that you and I hooked up, he might even be happy for you! So you have no choice but to do as I say...”

Cheryl's glare was so cold that it might have frozen anyone else who met her eyes. “Hagen, you are literally nothing more than a measly rat to me. Do you think you still deserve my attention? Keep on dreaming.”

Hagen absolutely detested other people calling him a rat more than anything else. His expression darkened. “I've already laid out all of my conditions. Whether you agree or not is up to you. It's up to you now. Either you sleep with me, or pay ten billion right now. If you're even one short, my friends and I will go to your house and

demand the remainder from Minister Smith.”

Cheryl's face paled slightly.

Her father had recently asked her to stay on the down-low, and forbade her from getting into any more trouble. If he found out that she was leading a group of bureaucrats and had lost a bet of ten billion, he might become so angry that he'd get a heart attack.

She had to stop Hagen from going to her house and demanding money!

She could not agree to sleeping with Hagen either!

But there was no way she could pay up ten billion right now. What other option did she have?
