Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1813

Adrian said, “We Yorks are wealthy and powerful in the West, and I'm known and selfacknowledged as the Lord there. But what should I do to prove to him that I live up to my name and impress him?”

Maverick smiled bitterly when he heard his words. “It's easier said than done to impress Mr. Goldstein. I'm going to the bathroom; I'll be back, Mr. York.”

With that said, Maverick got up and left.

Right then, a group of people in the distance passed by the corridor.

When Ceaser saw them, he saw a familiar figure which turned out to be Nathan, his enemy.

His expression changed instantly, and he swore under his breath, “Why do I have to bump into him out of all people? F*ck! What a killjoy!”

As a matter of fact, Leaser had only reserved two floors of the Sunshine Club for his birthday party that night, and the other floors were still open to the public.

Since Nathan was invited to a friend's drinking party, he happened to be there and was caught by Leaser.

As soon as Adrian heard Leaser's angry swears, he looked toward the man's direction and saw Nathan.

An idea popped up in his mind. With a wine glass in hand, he walked up to Leaser smilingly. “Mr. Goldstein, it seems like that guy is getting on your nerves! Since it's your birthday, I guess it's inconvenient for you to get him. Why don't you allow me to teach that guy a lesson for

your

Ceaser sneered upon hearing this. “Who do you think you are?”

Adrian moaned, “Mr. Goldstein, you can't look down on me. I'm Adrian York from the West, a.k.a. the Lord of the West, and everyone who knows me trembles at my name. My strong fists have defeated countless enemies in the West. Let me teach him a lesson right now to prove who I truly am.”

Ceaser smiled subtly. “Alright, do as you please. If you can really beat him up for me tonight, I'll consider you as a friend.”

Adrian was excited upon hearing this. “Yes, Mr. Goldstein! Just wait and see how he'll end up.”

After Maverick had returned from the restroom, Adrian was nowhere to be seen. Where did he

go?

Meanwhile, Ceaser took his wine glass and approached Maverick along with his men and asked with a thin smile, “Did you say you're Maverick Douglas, Quent Douglas' cousin?”

Maverick quickly replied, “Yes, Mr. Goldstein.”

Ceaser sipped on his wine and asked distractedly, “Is your friend, Adrian, usually this bold?”
