Clifford's eyes burned with hatred when he glared at Nathan. “Is there even a difference between life imprisonment and the death sentence?” asked Clifford.
Nathan answered calmly, “There is, and it won't just make a difference to you. It will make a difference to your family as well.”
Hearing those words got Clifford to turn quiet.
Nathan's words had made it clear. If Clifford handed over all his money to the government, he would survive and would only get life imprisonment.
On the other hand, if Clifford kept being stubborn, the other members of the Davier family would likely suffer for it as well.
The Davier family had already been forced out of the playing field. Their heirs could no longer work in the business, political, and military fields.
If Clifford cooperated, there was a chance that the punishment imposed on the Davier family would slowly become lighter. Our heir might be able to start a business in the future.
On the other hand, if Clifford refused to cooperate, he would basically force the Davier family to permanently stay out of any position of power.
Clifford felt like he had aged a decade in mere seconds, and his fighting spirit was nowhere to be seen. He was completely defeated.
He had his head down and replied, “Fine, I will give up all of my wealth and will be cooperative with whatever punishment I am given.”
Nathan nodded and said, “Good!”
On the ocean.
Simone led Ariarica's navy, Nakajima led Jetroina's navy, Reno led Ferropene's navy, and Catherine led Eagleland's navy. Everyone was in their position to rehearse the fight.
Unfortunately, the Dragon Warriors were nowhere to be seen when the others showed up at the designated area.
Simone and the others were stumped.
Reno was both surprised and infuriated. “Where is Eurasia's fleet? That Nathan dude didn't run and hide like a coward, did he?”
Nakajima cussed as well, “The citizens of Eurasia are such wimps.”
