Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2321

Holding his sword, Daichi and the Five Phantoms walked over expressionlessly.

Naturally, Yasutake recognized Daichi and knew that he was a notorious assassin working for Yori Corporation.

However, according to her knowledge, Daichi had not been active for years. Why did he appear tonight?

She and her colleagues braced themselves to confront this formidable enemy.

Raising her left hand and signaling for Daichi and the Five Phantoms to stop, she warned sternly, “Stand right there! I'm Chief Naomi. What are you trying to do?"

Daichi snapped coldly, “This is Yori Corporation's affairs. If you don't want to die, get lost right now.”

When the customers in the restaurant heard that, they scurried away fearfully.

However, Nathan, Penny, Colin, Ava, and Tim remained seated and continued looking at the rest calmly.

Yasutake's left hand was still raised, signaling for Daichi and the others to stay put. While she shifted her right hand to the gun holster on her waist, she warned nervously, “I'd advise you not to do anything rash in front of us.”

Daichi smirked coldly and asked, “My targets tonight are these Eurasians.

Are you going to stand up for them and protect them?”

Yasutake gritted her teeth. “I'm sorry, but I’m the police!”

Daichi laughed mockingly. “I only see dead and alive people. I don’t care about professions.”

With that, he shot a cold glance at

Yasutake's colleagues and demanded hostilely, “What about the rest of you? Are you going to protect these Eurasians or leave obediently?”

Yasutake's colleagues broke out into cold sweat. After exchanging a look with each other, they said, “We didn't see anything. We'll leave now.”

They even tried to urge Yasutake softly, “Chief, Daichi is a notorious assassin from Yori Corporation. He has killed hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Since he's here for these Eurasians, there's no need for us to risk our lives for them, right? Why don't we leave?”

When Yasutake heard that, she could not help but feel disappointed in her colleagues.

She stated coldly, “If you're afraid of dying, leave. I won't force you. However, as the police, we represent justice. I'll never leave and pretend that I did not see anything when I know that a crime is going to happen.”

When the others saw their persuasion failed, they glanced at each other. After telling Yasutake to take care, they left.
