Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2393

The next day, the gates to the Norris residence on Mount Rhea in the West were shut tight.

Only the side door was left open with several gatekeepers guarding it. They were chit-chatting while doing so.

It turned out that even the servants of the Norris family knew Bryson had crossed a man named Nathan and that the man was coming for him.

At that moment, Ignatz Fell, the captain of the gatekeepers, was discussing the matter with his partners and wondering if Bryson's enemy would actually show up.

“Ignatz, do you really think that man will be coming here?” asked one of the captain's armored subordinates.

“Many have bluffed about storming into this place, but I've never seen anyone actually doing it. This Nathan guy is probably no different,” answered Ignatz with a hearty laugh.

Thinking that Ignatz had got a point, most of his subordinates nodded in agreement.

Still, others had a different take on the matter. “But I heard that the man used to be the Commander-in-Chief of the North Army and that his combat capability was second to none. That's why he was also known as the God of War of Eurasia!”

“He called himself the God of War?” scoffed Ignatz. “The only God of War I know is General Quillen, so I have no idea who this Nathan guy thinks he is. How dare a nobody like him compare himself to the likes of General Quillen! If I were him, I would never show my face here. Otherwise, he's going to get his face stomped in! That'll teach him to mess with us.”

Several of Ignatz's men immediately cheered him on. “That's our captain for you! As brave as always!”

After receiving praises, Ignatz puffed out his chest and held his head up high as though he had actually bested the God of War.

Just when the gatekeepers were still buttering up their captain, a black sedan suddenly drove up to them.

Under Ignatz’s and the others' curious gazes, a tall figure with obsidian eyes stepped out of the vehicle before his burly companion followed suit.

The two were none other than Nathan and Colin.

However, since Ignatz did not know that it was Nathan, he gestured for a few of his subordinates to follow him and approached the man. “Who are you, and what do you want? Don't you know that this place is off-limits?”

“I've already told Raphael that I'd be coming today. Did he forget about it or something?” questioned Nathan calmly.

Ignatz froze for a moment because he thought Nathan was a special guest.

“Oh, is that so? Then can I have your name please? I'll inform Mr. Norris of your arrival,” requested Ignatz respectfully.
