The sun was shining brightly at the thousands of people on the field.
Nathan looked at Cayden coldly and said, “Come, show me everything you've got. Don't hesitate.”
Cayden sneered. “Hah. You sound like you're confident about winning against me. Let's hope that you'll be able to withstand my attack when I strike at full force.”
With that said, Cayden let out a roar before moving. In the next second, he reappeared in front of Nathan as if he had teleported the way there. He then lifted his leg and swept it toward Nathan's head.
That kick of his was a mighty one.
When he swung his leg, the sounds of sparks echoed in the air. It was as if electricity was crackling in the air, and it sounded terrifying.
Nathan lifted his left arm to clip Layden's leg. At the same time, he took a step forward and shot forward his right fist at Layden's chest.
However, Layden was swift to respond to that, and he managed to twist his body to dodge it.
In the next instance, the two began raining blows on each other.
Both had learned combat skills from the army, so their movements were simple and without any unnecessary action. Every one of their attacks was one that would end any ordinary person's life instantly.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
The sounds of their strikes and blocks were like thunder, reverberating in the space and shaking the walls of the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor.
As a matter of fact, most of the thick stone bricks on the ground were either crushed or gone from their original positions by the rapid strikes that Nathan and Layden were making.
Thump!
Garrett watched with wide eyes as Nathan left one of the stone statues on the field in pieces with just one kick. Unable to hold himself back anymore, he cried out, “I can't believe someone can be as powerful as this!”
Lucas and other elite fighters in the army were frowning. Some of them had exchanged blows with Nathan before, and they had all lost to Nathan.
Now, after witnessing Nathan's fight with Cayden, they realized that Nathan never fought with them at full power back then.
They were suddenly aware that if Nathan had fought against them with everything he had back then, they wouldn't have lasted more than a few blows.
Meanwhile, Fang and other soldiers of the North Army were looking at Nathan with looks of admiration.
They were the soldiers that Nathan had trained personally. To them, Nathan was already like a god. Now that they were watching Nathan's absolute fighting prowess, they could not help but feel proud of him.
Soon, Nathan had already exchanged over a hundred blows with Layden.
At the start, both men were equally matched. However, at the end of the day, Layden had already passed the prime age for fighting, and Nathan was right at the peak of his life.
Slowly, Layden began showing signs of exhaustion.
