Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2451

“Argh!”

With an angry bellow, the murderous aura Layden exuded became even more intense.

When it reached its maximum, everyone's sight seemed to blur for a moment. A serpent pattern appeared behind Layden. In the next second, he made his move and sent himself rushing toward Nathan.

Layden's entire body was red and steaming. As he was too swift when he launched himself toward Nathan, afterimages appeared behind him. It was as if he was a serpent on fire charging straight at Nathan.

“Die!” Cayden roared as he threw a punch at Nathan.

Nathan, who had stayed rooted to his spot until then, finally moved. He took a step forward and shot out a fist. It was The Sky Breaker.

Boom!

The two fists slamming into each other was like a scene where two missiles collided with each other. A thundering explosion resulted from that, and the ground shook.

Clouds of dust were swept up into the air.

When the dust finally settled, Garrett and the others realized with a shock that the spot where Nathan and Cayden stood earlier was now a crater.

Both Nathan and Cayden were right in the middle of that crater.

The look on Nathan's face was still a calm one, but a slight tinge of tiredness had seeped into it. The more observant ones even noticed that the back of Nathan's right hand was injured, for there was some blood on it.

On the other hand, Cayden looked much worse than Nathan.

Layden s right sleeve was gone, and his muscular right arm was exposed to the air. However, his right arm was twisted. It was obvious that the bones of his right arm had been completely crushed.

Moreover, his body had returned to its normal state. His skin was no longer a dark shade of red, and his face was of a deathly pallor.

Anyone could see that Layden s Burblo had come to an end. It meant that all his blood had been burned out.

In other words, his life had come to an end.

Cayden was no longer exuding that murderous aura, and the life in his eyes was leaving him as defeat entered them instead.

He looked at Nathan. The man's youthful look reminded him of what he used to be over twenty years ago.

It felt like he was looking at his past self when he looked at Nathan. A wistful look crossed his face as he whispered weakly, “You're stronger than me. The people of this country are proud to have you in the army...” At that, Cayden began coughing harshly. He was like a candle's dying flames in the strong wind.
