“Show me what you got!”
Before Max and Isaiah could react, a Jetroinian standing behind Kenshun, Jetroina's representative, held the katana on his waist and marched out arrogantly.
That man was a rising star in the Jetroina military—Hideo Tachibana.
Max and the other eight representatives wouldn't take action, for they were superior beings.
Besides, it was obvious that Lucas wasn’t afraid to die. No one wanted to go against an enemy who thought that way.
As a rising star in Jetroina, Hideo needed to win a battle under everyone's watchful eyes to solidify his position in the military.
Lucas was the commander-in-chief of the West in Eurasia.
There was no way Hideo would let the chance to kill a Eurasian general slip. The impetuous young man thus stepped out to accept Lucas' challenge.
Oh? The nine representatives refuse to accept my challenge. Instead, a nobody from Jetroina is stepping up to my challenge.
Lucas didn't mind. “Come on,” he declared frostily.
Hideo pulled his katana out and discarded the sheath aside. He held his katana with both hands and raised it on his right. In his wooden clogs, he dashed forward and went in circles around Lucas.
However, Lucas didn't seem to be afraid of Hideo. He merely stood unmoving.
He even shut his eyes.
This is too much. How could he look down on me?
Furious, Hideo suddenly sprinted ahead and swung his weapon toward Lucas.
His movement was as quick as lightning.
The katana was also known for its sharp blade. There was a possibility of Lucas getting sliced in half.
Everyone, including Max, lit up at once.
Alas, the scene they expected to see didn't come true. Instead, Lucas swung his spear out without opening his eyes and stabbed it in Hideo's direction.
Swoosh!
Lucas' sword brushed past Hideo's katana, forcing the katana to move out of its way. It also pierced through Hideo's throat easily.
