During the summit, Lucas fought with more than twenty experts from the nine nations. Although there were more injuries on his body, all still dripping fresh with blood, he still remained standing with a spear in his hand.
Panting, he gazed at the corpses strewn across the floor and roared at Max and the rest, “Come on!”
Max frowned.
Unable to endure it anymore, Isaiah gripped his sword and strode out. He said coldly, “Lucas, I didn't intend to defeat you. But since you keep acting high and mighty in front of me, I'll fulfill your death wish.”
Although Lucas was panting, his motivation increased. “Even when I was fighting against two opponents single-handedly, I didn't lose to you and Max. Who are you to say that you'll defeat me? Come one! Let's have a match and see who'll emerge victorious.”
Isaiah snorted coldly. “When you fought two opponents singlehandedly a few days back, you could've lost any moment.
Furthermore, when you fought me at the start, you didn't gain the upper hand at all. Now that you're determined to fight to the death, you've become bold enough to brag in front of me. Since you want to die, I'll fulfill your wish.”
With that, Isaiah unsheathed his sword. Like a ferocious wolf, he charged toward Lucas at lightning speed.
Lucas braced himself for the fight.
As both of them had a military background, their combat styles were similar—clean, simple, and fatal.
They unleashed a series of aggressive attacks right from the start. The sounds of weapons clashing rang across the venue.
Normally, Lucas would definitely be on par with Isaiah.
However, he had been journeying for a long time and kept fighting with warriors at the borders of Volk.
When he reached, he even battled the fighters from the nine countries.
Hence, he was no longer at his peak. In fact, his energy level kept dropping.
When the battle started, Lucas was still evenly matched with Isaiah, fuelled by his fury and desire for revenge.
However, he was starting to show some signs of weakness gradually.
His focus shifted to defending himself and he launched fewer attacks now.
When Isaiah saw that Lucas was already at the end of his wits, he revealed a look of delight. This time, I'm going to kill Lucas in front of the whole world and rise to glory!
