Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2558

Upon hearing Max's words, Jessica couldn't help asking, “Admiral Max, you said earlier that you have a task for me. Don't tell me you want me to gather some men to assassinate Nathan?”

“How I wish! But he's currently commanding Southern Fleet on the sea, and there are thousands of soldiers around him. Even I can't do anything with him despite leading a carrier battle group. Hence, it's a pipe dream if you want to assassinate him,' Max countered.

All at once, embarrassment flooded

Jessica.

Max then continued, “While the task I have for you isn't to assassinate him directly, it's still related to him. The goal is to deal him a blow. We'll make a move from various angles and destroy this archenemy of ours!”

“What's the task? I'll do my best, Admiral Max!” Jessica quickly assured.

“Arrange for some men to kidnap his wife and daughter. I'll send Lorcan to lead the Wasp Special Attack Unit in sneaking into Eurasia to converge with you and work with you,” Max explained.

“Okay!” Jessica assented.

“Keep in mind that Penny and Queenie are still very useful. Besides, Penny probably knows a lot of confidential information. It's best if you can furtively kidnap them back to Ariarica alive. Of course, if the situation doesn't permit you to bring them back to the country, just kill them both. Consider it payback for all the trouble Nathan caused us,” Max added.

“Understood!” Jessica replied.

“I'll be waiting for your good news. I hope you don't disappoint me,” Max asserted.

After saying that, he hung up the phone and ordered his subordinates to retreat.

At long last, Ariarica and its allies' ships all turned back and left.

Leading their respective fleets, Nathan and Rogan trailed after them for a distance to ensure that Max was truly making himself scarce.

Both of them inexorably grinned from ear to ear.

Chuckling happily, Rogan said to Nathan through the wireless communicator, “Haha, Chief Cross, that b*stard, Max, has finally been scared off by our collaboration!”

Having been battling side by side with the man in the past few days, Nathan understood him much better.

He knew that Rogan didn't only appear brash and savage, but his temperament was also explosive.

He also seemed reckless, and there would also be “reckless moments” of unexpected actions when he commanded the fleet.
