Right then, everyone's attention shifted toward Yuvan.
Yuvan was in a dilemma. I can't! I can't continue our attack on the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor and harm Mr. Windsor. I can't retreat, either! If I do, how am I supposed to explain myself to Major-General Long? What am I supposed to do?
He raised his gaze and saw how serious Hansel looked. In the end, he gritted his teeth and uttered miserably, “Forget it. Mr. Windsor, you're someone I respect the most. Besides, you've been helping me and my family all these years. There's no way I could harm you. However, I can't turn my back on Major-General Long's orders. Before I left, I swore upon my life to complete my mission and take the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor down. I can't betray either of you. Since both of you have given me this life, it's time I return it to you two.”
With that, he did something no one had seen coming.
He raised his pistol and pointed it at his head before shooting himself.
In an instant, blood splattered everywhere before his body slumped to the ground.
Since the scene was dead silent, everyone could hear the impact of his body falling to the ground.
Yuvan's subordinates only reacted after his body had dropped to the ground. Anson, Stefan, and the others called out his name in despair before running toward him.
However, Yuvan was no longer breathing as he lay in a puddle of blood.
It was a ghastly sight as blood covered the ground.
Indeed, he had been left without a choice. He couldn't go against either Will's or Hansel's wishes, so he chose to end his own life instead.
Hansel couldn't help but sigh at the turn of events. “Just like that, we've lost a good soldier. What a shame! Will and Erwin caused this to happen. They are a blight upon this country for the chaos they have caused!”
After saying that, Hansel turned toward Anson, Stefan, and the others. “Yuvan has made his choice and taken his own life after being caught in between his patriotism and his personal relationship with Will. How about you lot? Are you going to retreat, or are you going to keep making mistakes?”
