Inside a private club in Newcove, the room was luxurious and had a nice ambiance. There, a beautiful woman in a white dress was lying on a bed where rose petals were scattered all over.
The woman had stunning facial features and was as beautiful and as regal as a goddess.
She was sleeping peacefully in the room.
Sitting beside the window was a graceful gentleman in a black tuxedo. He looked as though he was in his thirties and was an incredibly goodlooking fellow. He also exuded a powerful aura, but he looked a little pale.
The woman lying on the bed wasn't actually sleeping beauty. She was a real person who went by the name Alicia. She was a student who attended a university in the region.
The man sitting by the window wasn't Prince Charming, either. Everyone addressed him as Lord Antonio because he was the vampire who had been rising rapidly in his ranks recently.
It soon became clear that Antonio's favorite pastime was hunting for food whenever he went to a new city.
It just so happened that he bumped into Alicia that day.
All he needed was a simple trick to render her unconscious and bring her to his temporary sanctuary.
He was staring at the sleeping Alicia at that moment, and his gaze oozed with uncharacteristic warmth. His lips also curved into a smile before he commented, “She is heaven's masterpiece and is virtually perfect. Even from this distance, I can smell that sweet scent from her.” As he spoke, he got closer and tilted his head down. Two sharp fangs popped out of his mouth, and he mercilessly bit into Alicia's neck.
The unconscious woman stiffened.
Quite some time had passed before someone knocked on the door. An old man's voice came afterward. “We've located Nathan Cross, Master.”
Antonio slowly tilted his head up. By then, Alicia had already turned into a lifeless corpse that was drained of all her blood.
Antonio stood up stoically and walked to the table, where he pulled up a chair to sit on it. After that, he grabbed a random bottle of wine and poured himself a glass. As he swirled the wine in the glass, he calmly instructed, “Come in and tell me everything in detail.”
Creak'. The door opened soon after.
Antonio's butler, Kaiser, and his trusted subordinate, Gianna, entered together.
Both bowed politely and greeted, “Master.”
Antonio picked up the glass of red wine and took a sip. A frown made its way to his brows right after. That was the best wine available, but it still wasn't nearly as good as fresh blood.
