Gianna answered, “It would be difficult to deal with Nathan directly, so I think we should start with his trusted allies. That will deal a blow to his overall strength, and we could use his allies as bait to lure him to his death.
“I've already looked into the matter. His trusted allies, Colin Dunne and Ava Quinn, will be in the Peacekeeping Forces' headquarters today to train others.
“I plan to go after them and force Nathan to come to his death.” Curious, Antonio asked, “Will he really come to us just to save his subordinates, Colin and Ava?”
Gianna smiled. “You don't know this, Master, but Nathan is a slave to his heart and cares deeply for his men.
“When he was the commander-in-chief of the North Army, he set a rule that was said to be of utmost importance.
“If the army were to get in trouble and had to retreat, the new blood must be the first ones to flee. The more experienced ones were to stay back to buy them time. Similarly, high-ranking officers with greater skills and better chances of survival would be the last to retreat.
“Given how much he cares for his men, he will surely come to us once he learns that his subordinates are in trouble.
“It's as I said earlier. His humanity is his weakness.”
Antonio grinned happily. “Haha, I guess you put a lot of effort into investigating everything. I like your plan. Gianna, Kaiser.”
Both Gianna and Kaiser straightened their backs and simultaneously replied, “Yes, Master.”
Antonio instructed, “I will formally issue the command now. Apprehend Colin Dunne and Ava Quinn and bring them here. I want them alive. We will use them as bait to lure Nathan to his death.”
“Understood,” replied Dianna and Kaiser simultaneously.
Antonio's eyes glowed a little differently when he reminded, “There are a lot of vampires here in Newcove, so if needed, you can recruit them and have them work for you. Just tell them it's an order from me.”
Dianna and Kaiser immediately replied, “Understood.”
Antonio waved his hand dismissively. “Okay, go work. Do not disappoint me.”
The two subordinates left together.
