The unexpected news surprised the vampires, who were sipping on their drinks. They turned around and looked at Nicholas in disbelief.
Vince, on the other hand, was both dumbfounded and livid.
Though he was not particularly fond of Antonio, the latter was still his subordinate. The killer had utterly disrespected Vince by murdering his lackey.
Who is brazen enough to slaughter us vampires, and my subordinates at that?
Enraged, Vince turned toward Nicholas. “Is this true?”
Nicholas replied, “Yes. Their bodies are still in Black Swan Castle.”
Vince's expression turned grim upon hearing Nicholas' reply. He jumped up from his seat and paced back and forth before turning around abruptly, fury boiling in his eyes. “Who did it?”
“If I'm not mistaken, it's the God of War and current president of Eurasia, Nathan Cross.”
Vince was momentarily stunned before he said viciously, “Eurasians? Humans are already inferior to vampires, and Eurasians are considered lowlives among the human race. How dare these puny insects murder our kind? This is unacceptable!”
He paused, scanned the surrounding vampires who were present, and spoke in a thunderous tone. “Listen up, everyone. I don't care if this guy is a Eurasian or not. Nor do I care if he's the God of War or the president. He'll have to pay for slaughtering our kind with his life. Locate this man immediately and get rid of him once and for all. I do not want to see him leaving Newcove alive!”
Nicholas, along with the many vampires present, shouted simultaneously, “Yes, Your Grace.”
Meanwhile, Nathan and the rest temporarily took shelter in a beachfront mansion owned by Mueller.
