“It's you vampires again. You guys just can't let things go, can you?” Nathan said in an unruffled tone.
Fiddling with the glass, Niels chuckled softly and replied with a half-smile, “You shouldn't have messed with vampires, nor should you have killed Antonio. Don't delude yourself into thinking you can challenge us vampires just because you're the head of some human country. You must pay for your actions and atone for your sins with your life and blood.”
Nathan responded coolly, “Humans are the masters of this world now. Creatures of darkness like you who kill and drink blood to survive are no different from rats in the sewer. You dare not show yourselves in the daytime and only come out at night. I've no idea where you got the audacity to behave so disrespectfully in front of me.”
Behave disrespectfully?
As an earl and second-in-command of the vampires in Newcove, Niels was thoroughly infuriated after hearing Nathan liken him to rodents and accusing him of impertinence.
A malicious expression spread across his face.
“Well, well, well. That's just excellent. I hope your powers are as impressive as that mouth of yours. Otherwise, I guarantee you'll die a horrific death tonight.”
With that, he waved his hand at the other vampire fighters and commanded, “Kill everyone here. Leave no one alive.”
“Understood!”
The sixteen vampire fighters suddenly morphed into black bats and swooped toward Colin, Kraven, and the rest.
When the bats neared Colin and the others, they slowly turned back into sixteen burly men in tuxedos and launched an aggressive attack on the group.
Colin drew his sword, then pushed Haskell and Erin behind him. His sword flashed in the air as he fought two vampires at once.
Meanwhile, Kraven placed his left hand on Kerry's head and pushed her so that she was crouched under the table, hidden from sight. At the same time, he wielded his whip sword and also battled two vampires single-handedly.
Sevan was way more ferocious. Like a tiger just released from its cage, he pounced on three vampires with a blood-curdling roar.
As for Sylvester, there was no one keeping watch over him anymore.
When he saw a vampire running toward him, he screamed and tried to flee.
However, he was plump and had his hands handcuffed, and the vampire moved at an incredible speed. So how could he possibly escape?
Worried that Colin and Kraven would lose their fight, Nathan swept his hand across the table, and the four remaining bottles of beer on the table rocketed through the air like cannonballs.
Before the vampires attacking Colin and Kraven could react, the bottles struck four of them on the backs of their heads. Their heads and the bottles all exploded immediately.
Hence, the four vampires were killed by Nathan on the spot.
Sevan's murderous intent also intensified, and he crushed the skulls of two vampires with one blow. Then, he quickly attacked another two.
Niels was shocked and enraged at Nathan's interference in the battle between their subordinates. He growled, “D*mn you! Your opponent tonight is me!”
The wind whistled as he swiftly launched himself toward Nathan.
Then, balling his hand into a fist, he threw a punch at Nathan.
Nathan leaned back slightly to dodge the powerful punch, but as soon as Niels started going on the offensive, he was as uncontrollable as the raging winds and waves.
