The truth was that Penny instinctively felt that joining the Curia and becoming a Holy Maiden was bad for her daughter as her daughter might end up spending most of her time in Curia, making it difficult for them to meet.

We'll be forcing a relationship between him and us. Now, have the headquarters and the branches all over the world announce this news at the same time: Queenie is the Curia's future Holy Maiden. Once she turns sixteen, she'll officially take over Hepburn's role to become the Holy Maiden.”

Her subordinates exchanged glances with each other.

One then piped up, “Won't this enrage Mr. Cross?”

Laura confidently answered, “Be at ease. I know what to do to Mr. Cross to make him repress his anger and acquiesce that his daughter is the future Holy Maiden.”
