At that moment, a dozen black sedans screeched to a halt at the entrance of Oceanus Club.
The doors opened.
Nathan, flanked by Colin, Sevan, Ava, the Elite Eight, and a dozen experts from the Channing military district, alighted from the vehicles.
“The foreigners who kidnapped Mrs. Woods and Ms. Woods are in there, Mr. Cross,” reported Ava. “Should we mobilize the military to surround this place right now?”
“There's no need for such drastic measures,” Nathan said calmly. “Stand guard with the Elite Eight out here, and don't let a single one of them escape. I will go in with Colin and Sevan to meet them.”
Ava was worried. “Your injury has not fully healed, Mr. Cross. I'm afraid that—”
“There's nothing to be afraid of,” Nathan said blandly. “If I can't handle it, it'll end the same even if I brought you along. Besides, I will have Colin and Sevan with me.”
Since he had put it that way, Ava heeded his instructions and arranged for men to stand guard at every exit.
On the other hand, Nathan led Colin and Sevan into the clubhouse.
Before they got close, they were stopped by a man with a buzzcut and scars on his face. The man also had a few security guards with him.
Towering over Nathan, the scar-faced man studied the former and failed to recognize him as the acting president, possibly due to his head full of white hair.
Narrowing his triangular eyes, he said in a hostile manner, “I'm sorry, but the club is only open to members. Since you're not our members, I must ask you to leave.”
Nathan smiled.
“Are you blind?” Colin barked. “Eurasia may be large, but no place is barred from Mr. Cross' access.”
The scar-faced man scowled. “It looks like you're here to cause trouble. Well then, consider yourselves warned. Break their legs and throw them out onto the streets!”
“Yes, sir!”
The security guards flanking their scar-faced leader lunged at Nathan and the others like hungry predators.
Colin and Sevan reacted quicker than them.
Like flashes of lightning, the pair dashed forward to meet their opponents.
Bang! Bam! Thud!
In the blink of an eye, the guards were sent flying backward by Colin and Sevan.
The scar-faced man was left rooted to the spot in astonishment.
However, he could not figure out why the vampires would target Paisley and Maisy.
The two vampires exchanged a glance upon noticing the arrival of Nathan and company.
The pair took a step forward to block Nathan in his path. “Proceed no further if you don't wish to die.”
Nathan smiled before suddenly making his move.
Bang! Bang!
The two elites were sent flying before they could even react.
Their bodies smashed through the door to the private room and crashed heavily onto the floor.
Vivien and the others who were drinking froze and gazed at the door simultaneously.
Nathan sauntered into the room with Colin and Sevan in tow as Vivien and company watched in silence.
A smile resurfaced on Vivien's face when she saw Nathan, but the smile was cold and vicious.
She took a sip of blood from her glass and said calmly, “I have been waiting for you, Nathan.”
