Lux and Max came to an agreement.
That was also the first time those two were working together.
Lux turned to face Nathan before whispering to Max and all the vampire elites who were present, “We cannot stay here for long. This battle has to be resolved in the shortest time possible.”
Max and the other vampires promptly agreed.
After all, they were in the Curia territory, which doubled as the temporary headquarters of the Hundred Nations Gods of War Alliance.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the area was swarming with powerful elites.
If Lux and Max were not yearning for revenge and the dark blood essence that Herod had promised as a reward, they would not have put themselves at risk by attacking Nathan.
However, if they could not kill Nathan, the strongest God of War among men, Lux and Max were certain that no vampire would be able to force the two of them to stay in the fight if they were to escape.
Thus, both of them agreed that timing was of the essence in that fight.
A murderous aura filled the place as the two vampire princes got into position along with the countless vampire elites.
At the sight of what was happening, Wolfric paled in fright.
Two vampire princes had shown up on the battlefield. He was beginning to doubt that he could hold his ground before the Curia's elites and other God of Wars could hurry over to assist in battle.
Wolfric's subordinates were even more terrified by the circumstances. Immense fear could be seen behind all of their eyes. Each one of them looked as though they would run off at any time if given the choice.
Conversely, Colin and the Elite Eight were a lot calmer. Glaring at the enemies with a solemn yet cautious look, they tightened their grip on their weapons, prepared to attack anytime.
Meanwhile, Nathan was the most composed of them all.
At the same time, he was a little surprised. Ever since he killed Vivien, there were only thirteen vampire princes left.
Never did he expect two vampire princes to show up on the same night. Fighting two at the same time would be a new challenge for Nathan.
“Listen up, everybody! Prepare for battle! Stand ground until help comes!” Nathan uttered in a deep voice.
“Yes, Sir!” Colin, Wolfric, and their respective subordinates as well as the warriors of the Curia responded in unison.
With that, all of them immediately got into defensive formations.
It only took Max and Lux a glance to figure out that the humans in front of them intended to prolong the battle until reinforcements arrived.
Lux commented coldly, “Planning to stall for time? Do you really think you can succeed?”
With a wave of his hand, Max commanded, “Kill them!”
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
