“This is for your kindness! Sword mist!”
With a deafening roar, Lux brandished his sword, unleashing a flurry of strikes akin to wind and mist. The cross-shaped blade radiated with an ominous glow, conjuring a menacing gust that propelled it forward with deadly force toward Nathan.
The latter didn't dodge or evade. Instead, he countered with a sword in hand.
Clang!
The two weapons clashed, and the sound of thunder roared, reverberating through the entire area and causing the ground to quake. The collision unleashed a torrential surge of energy that overwhelmed everything in its path, spreading outward from the point of impact with an awe-inspiring aura that left the surroundings awash in its wake.
The human spectators around them turned pale and hastily retreated to avoid this terrifying aura.
Wolfric and Hepburn retreated quickly, while some weaker War Gods and the Curia soldiers were unable to avoid it and were immediately cut in half by this aura, dying on the spot.
The aura spread for tens of meters, cutting through trees and buildings and slicing dozens of War Gods and Curia soldiers in half.
It was terrifying.
Only Leopold and a few top Curia elites were able to withstand this terrifying aura.
After Nathan and Lux clashed head-on, they immediately separated.
Seeing many humans around him killed by the shockwave, Lux was especially pleased and sneered, “Hehe, I'm sorry. I'm getting on in years and can't handle my power well. I accidentally killed many of your allies.”
Nathan glanced at the dead members of the alliance as well as the dead Curia soldiers around him, and his face became very dark.
He looked at Lux as if he were looking at a dying man and coldly said, “Since you're old, you should rest in peace.”
Old? Rest in peace?
Lux was suddenly enraged. “Let me see who will die first between us!”
Nathan's intimidating aura engulfed him, and in an instant, his vision underwent a peculiar transformation.
The people around him faded away and disappeared, and the sounds around him became distant until they vanished completely.
Lux was horrified to find himself standing in a majestic, eerie, and terrifying palace. On the grand and imposing palace hung a plaque with several Eurasian characters: Palace of the Underworld.
Suddenly, giant phantoms of demon lords appeared around him, and there were ten of them. As colossal as the mountains, they donned battle robes, wore crowns on their heads, and wielded an array of peculiar weapons.
“T-T-These are the Ten Princes of Hell from Eurasian legends,” Lux said.
He was knowledgeable and was shocked to recognize the Ten Princes of Hell, but before he could react, Nathan's powerful voice rang out. “Impressive observation skills. You shall meet your demise contentedly under the superior techniques of the Ten Princes of Hell, then.”
With that, Nathan's blade struck, and in Lux's vision, the Ten Princes of Hell raised their weapons and attacked him from all sides.
