In fact, Nathan regretted his decision the moment he decided to let Blossom tag along.
He was worried that she would be unable to keep up and become a burden and affect their mission.
However, Blossom surprised him. She was not as weak as he had imagined. Despite struggling to keep up with them, she did not complain and followed behind with clenched teeth.
It had been an hour since they continued their journey.
All of a sudden, Nathan stopped in his steps.
Seeing Nathan had stopped, Blossom thought they were finally having a break. She almost collapsed on the ground, exhausted.
On the other hand, Colin whispered, “What's wrong, Mr. Cross?”
Sevan also noticed something was off as he looked around the area suspiciously.
Nathan calmly replied, “We were in such haste to leave that we accidentally entered someone else's trap.”
A trap!
Blossom, about to sit down and rest, widened her eyes in shock and instinctively gripped her weapon.
Colin and Sevan frowned.
Colin lowered his voice and asked, “Is it the vampires?”
Nathan answered calmly, “Who else, if not for them? I can already smell the unique scent of blood from their bodies wafting through the air.”
Blossom stared at Nathan in shock.
I don't smell anything at all. Is this mysterious general that powerful?
Nathan noticed the strange look on Blossom's face and tried to comfort her, “Don't worry. There aren't too many of them. Maybe about a dozen.”
Just then, about a dozen figures appeared around them.
