Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3339

When Nathan returned, the alliance soldiers were in high spirits. Suddenly, a bearded colonel on duty rushed over, his face full of anxiety as he reported, “Commander Cross, a messenger from the vampires has arrived.” In an instant, the War Gods at the scene were all taken aback and subconsciously turned their gazes toward Nathan.

What could the vampires possibly want by sending an emissary?

Nathan's face remained calm as he said indifferently, “Let him in and bring him to my tent.” After saying that, Nathan turned around and walked toward the commander's tent.

This tent originally belonged to Wolfric. Since Nathan had returned, it was only natural to give it to Nathan as his office. Nathan, along with Wolfric, Leopold, Hepburn, and other key alliance members, arrived at the commander's tent and took their seats according to their ranks. Soon, several men in black cloaks were brought in by the soldiers.

These men, hidden within their black cloaks, were all vampires. Fearing the sunlight, they had grown accustomed to concealing their bodies beneath their cloaks during the day. After several members of the vampires entered the tent, they removed their cloaks, revealing their true faces.

The leader of the group was a tall and handsome man with the classic golden hair and blue eyes of an Adrune heartthrob. However, his complexion was pale, his eyes a sinister shade of crimson, and his smile exuded an eerie, malevolent vibe. He was the messenger sent by Herod, the Patriarch of vampires, and also the servant who had been by Herod's side for many years, Macauley. Macauley has no noble rank among the vampires. However, he was Herod's servant and had served him for countless years. Macauley had long become an indispensable presence to Herod.

Even though he held no noble title among the vampires, there was not a single member who dared to disrespect him. Even the vampire princes had to pay respect to him. Moreover, having spent many years by Herod's side, he had acquired numerous skills. It was said his combat abilities were unfathomable, and some even suspected his strength surpassed that of the vampire prince. No one really knew the actual case because Macauley rarely had the chance to take matters into his own hands.

Macauley looked down on all humans and vampires. In his eyes, his master Herod was the strongest in the world, and he was second only to him. At this moment, he seemed like a lion entering a sheep pen. He was majestic and domineering, casting a disdainful glance at the man sitting in the main seat.

With a frivolous tone, Macauley said, “What's this? You knew the envoy of the vampires was coming, yet you didn't bother to stand up and greet me?”
