Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3340

Macauley was both shocked and angry. The human alliance, which had just been defeated and sent fleeing in disarray by Herod, had escaped over two hundred miles away. Yet, Macauley did not expect Nathan to be arrogant and speak with such an attitude. Macauley initially wanted to lash out but eventually realized something was off. The handsome man sitting in the main seat did not have the facial features of an Adrunian but an Aplothian. He asked in astonishment, “You're not Wolfric. Who are you?” Upon hearing Macauley's words, Wolfric, who was standing nearby, felt quite displeased.

What did he mean by that? Did he act arrogant because he thinks I'm easy to bully?

With a cold expression, he roared, “Are you blind? This is the commander-in-chief of the alliance, the God of War of Eurasia, Mr. Nathan!” Nathan?

Macauley was taken aback, looking at Nathan with some disbelief.

“So, you're Nathan. You've actually returned to the human alliance. No wonder I saw the human soldiers brimming with a fighting spirit and eager for action when I came here earlier,”

Macauley remarked. “It turns out you've returned. I suppose you foolish humans must have momentarily forgotten the pain Master had taught you. Do you think you all are capable?”

After realizing the man was Nathan, Macauley understood why he was so courageous. Having slain numerous King-Class vampires, Nathan naturally possessed the confidence to be assertive. Regardless, Macauley did not take Nathan too seriously. After all, Herod was the strongest in the world, and he was second only to his master. There was no reason for Macauley to be afraid of Nathan. Nathan frowned slightly. It seemed Wolfric's previous defeat made the vampires gain confidence.

Now, even an insignificant vampire messenger dared to act arrogantly in front of Nathan repeatedly. Nathan raised his hand and knocked firmly on the table, giving a cold warning.

“Macauley, don't test my patience. I don't want to stoop to your level. State your purpose.”

Macauley did not take Nathan seriously and believed envoys would not be killed during a battle between two armies. Based on these two factors, he did not feel endangered at all. Seeing Nathan speak like this, he thought Nathan did not dare to touch him. Macauley sneered.

“Coincidentally, I love challenging other people's limits. Nonetheless, there's no harm in telling you if you want to know the message Master has sent.”

With that, he loudly declared, “Master says you have one day to surrender and join the vampires as slaves. Then, your lives will be spared.”
