The gaze of the various War Gods at the scene fell upon Senna and Dido.
Dido stepped forward, and after acknowledging everyone with a slight bow, introduced herself with grace and confidence, “Greetings, war gods, religious leaders, and comrades of the alliance. I am Dido, the only princess of the original Wallerian royal family. As we all know, I am my father's only child in the royal family. Now, I am already the Queen of Wallera.”
At that point, she lifted her pretty face and stared coldly at Senna. “This man claims to be a child my father had with another woman. He wants to compete with me for the throne. Tonight's duel is orchestrated by Mr. Welz and Mr. Cross, with everyone present as witnesses. The victor will be the rightful, legitimate heir to the throne of Wallera. Would you all be willing to bear witness?”
The various War Gods present unanimously declared, “Sure! We are all witnesses here. After the duel, no one is allowed to go against their words. None of us War Gods will stand for it.”
Dido nodded slightly.
With a grin that did not quite reach his eyes, Senna remarked, “I don't have anything to say. I'm not as eloquent as my sister. I prefer to keep things simple and straightforward. Since the outcome of the duel will determine everything, let's not waste time and get on with it.”
After saying that, he shouted, “Black Viper!”
At once, a tall, imposing dark-skinned man came to his side and said solemnly, “Yes, Prince Senna.”
Senna patted Black Viper on the shoulder, instructing him lightheartedly, “Don't show mercy. There's no need to show my sister respect. Make it quick. Tear your opponent apart at the fastest speed.”
Black Viper nodded. “Understood!”
Dido stared at the murderous-looking man. She could tell that Black Viper was formidable. For a moment, she could not help but worry that Thomas was no match for him.
Alas, there was no turning back.
She could only steel herself and call out, “Thomas!”
