Nathan was having dinner with his family.
Suddenly, Colin hurriedly came in from outside.
Nathan saw him and said with a smile, “Colin, you're here. Have you eaten yet? Let's have something together.”
Colin shook his head, whispering, “Mr. Cross!”
Nathan slightly furrowed his brows. “Is something the matter?”
Colin said, “Yes!”
Nathan nodded, stood up, and asked his family to eat ahead of him. He then led Colin to the study.
Nathan sat down and asked, “Did Baccio and the others cause trouble again?”
Colin said, “Yes.”
“Baccio ordered members of the Curia to search for Hepburn's whereabouts.”
Nathan didn't seem concerned. “Hasn't Hepburn already left with Lyanna? If the Curia want to search for her, let them search.”
Colin broke into a bitter smile and said, “I just found out that Lyanna and Hepburn never left. They are actually hiding in Bridewater Residence in Channing.”
What!
Nathan's stopped drinking his coffee as a scowl descended upon his face. “They've gone mad.”
Colin added, “I have something worse to report.”
“The three guys Baccio sent have killed a man and a woman. They’ve also found out where Lyanna and Hepburn are hiding and are on their way there.”
Nathan was both shocked and angry.
“How dare Baccio's men commit murder on our turf. What do they think this place is?”
Colin asked, “Mr. Cross, what should we do now?”
Nathan said coldly, “We will deal with them according to the law of course. Since they have committed murder, they should naturally be arrested. Issue a warrant immediately for the arrest of the three perpetrators.”
Colin said, “Yes, Mr. Cross!”
Colin was just about to leave when Nathan called out to him again, “Wait, Baccio is the Chief Elder of the Curia. The men he sent are likely to be quite powerful. I'm afraid ordinary police officers may not be able to handle them. Who among the skilled warriors in the army are currently in the South?”
