Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3459

Seeing as Baccio had made his intentions clear, there was no reason for Nathan to hold back either.

They believed that Nathan would no longer be willing to have a proper conversation with them, so their only option was to force Nathan to reveal his combat form in front of a large crowd.

That way, Nathan would have a hard time explaining himself.

Baccio, along with a few of his companions, two War Gods of the Light, and a group of cardinals, were all in their battle stances while glaring daggers at Nathan.

The royal guards were all on high alert while awaiting Nathan's orders.

The atmosphere in the room was tense as a battle was about to break out.

All eyes were focused on Nathan.

Everyone in the room understood that how the situation would unfold depended entirely on Nathan.

To Baccio's surprise, Nathan flashed him an indifferent look and said, “I'm giving you one last chance to surrender without any resistance. I will send you back to the Curia and have Eugene IV deal with you instead. Should you insist on doing this the hard way, however, I will not hold back.”

Baccio did not expect Nathan to refuse to compromise even when faced with a group of the Curia's best fighters.

Isn't Nathan afraid of being forced into his vampire form in front of everyone? Why won't he just submit to us?

Given the way things had gotten, Baccio knew that he had no choice but to grit his teeth and press on.

“Since there's no room for negotiation, let us resolve this in the old-fashioned way—with our fists!” he shouted in a deep voice.

He turned toward his men and ordered, “Go! Force him to reveal his true self!”

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

A few elders of the Curia, two War Gods of the Light, and a group of cardinals, all sprang into action and charged at Nathan like a pack of wolves.

“Insolence! Fire at will, men! We will show them no mercy!” Colin roared angrily.

The sound of gunfire erupted, and bullets went flying toward Baccio and the others like a hailstorm.

Baccio and several elders of the Curia were all top-notch fighters, including the two Gods of Light, who stood out for their exceptional strength.

The bullets that flew toward them seemed to encounter resistance while in the air as they got closer to their targets.
