Nathan narrowed his eyes and warned Sharon, "It seems like you have yet to learn your lesson, huh?”
When Sharon was about to rebut Nathan, she received a call from Terrence.
"Is that a call from your boss? It seems like they have figured out the truth regarding the sample, huh? I'm afraid you're the one who's doomed,” Nathan sneered.
Although Sharon had her doubts, she still refused to believe Nathan's words.
Pursing her lips, she picked up the call from Terrence and greeted politely, "Mr. Ortiz, may I know is there anything urgent? I'm currently recruiting the staff at Cross Group.”
Terrence yelled hysterically with all his might, "Damn it! Sharon, you b****!"
He was so loud that those present in the conference room could hear his voice through the phone.
As Sharon was dumbfounded by
Terrence's outburst, she stuttered, "M-Mr. Ortiz... W-What's wrong?”
Terrence completely lost his cool over the phone and bellowed, "I told you to get me the classified information of the vaccine and the vaccine sample. What the heck did you give me? A bottle of glucose solution? Seriously?”
Suddenly, Sharon's face became as white as a sheet. There was a trace of fear in her eyes as she asked with a quivering voice, "Mr. Ortiz, are you sure it wasn't a mistake?"
The enraged man went on. "Mistake? Do you think the researchers of our laboratory are as clumsy as you? You are fired, Sharon! Your payment has been canceled as well! Apart from that, you better return the twenty million you have collected previously. If I receive a penny less, I'll kidnap you and sell you off to Africa as a hooker!"
Sharon's was petrified when she heard Terrence's threats.
In a split second, she broke into tears in front of everyone. Not only was she fired, but the promised reward also vanished into thin air.
As a matter of fact, she had spent most of the twenty million Terrence gave her previously to purchase all sorts of luxury goods.
Even if she were to liquidate all of her assets, she wouldn't be able to gather twenty million.
Actually, Sharon knew what would be in store for her because Terrence was no saint. Perhaps she would really be kidnapped and sold off to Africa as a hooker, just like how he had warned her.
