Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 790

Everybody was astounded at Nathan's words.

Charlus' eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. "What? That's outrageous!"

"Jade Hotel is worth five billion, yet you sold it to Zayn at ten billion. He did not say that your price was outrageous then. If you find this amount unacceptable then forget it. We'll just see each other in court and let the judge decide how much you must pay,” Nathan replied casually.

Charlus' face turned red before paling.

If they ended up in court, there was no doubt that his criminal actions would be brought up.

Gritting his teeth, he bit out, "Fine! Ten billion it is!"

All around them, the Smiths, the staff, and even some nosy guests sucked in a breath in surprise.

Nathan smiled faintly. "Very good. Don't transfer the money to my account; transfer it to the East Charity Fund. Let that money help the poor families and contribute to the development of the cities."

If the eyes of everyone present grew any wider, they would pop out of their heads.

It was already shocking enough that Charlus was willing to pay the ten billion to Nathan. Yet now the latter was donating it all out to charity!

A lot of the guests present were locals from Glyngarth. Right then, they were looking at Nathan with admiration shining in their eyes.

Forcing back his pain, Charlus asked hopefully, "Mr. Cross, does that mean we're even now?"

Nathan shook his head. Tve already said yesterday what my conditions were for letting you go. One was compensation and the other was an apology. I'm still waiting for a sincere apology from you."

Of course, Charlus had heard about how Nathan wanted him to get down on his knees to ask for forgiveness.

His face flushed red in anger as he growled, "Cross, that's way out of line. You're asking for too much!"

"You'd wanted to kill me and Zayn.

Compared to that, what's more out of line, hmm? I only want you to kneel and apologize. That's all."
