Penny smiled bitterly. "Forget it. He's a very distant relative whom I had fallen out of contact with, for over ten years. I'll simply ignore him.”
Kylie chuckled and stated, "Actually, I could tell that if you hadn't managed to drag us away in time, Nathan would have probably beaten him up."
Everyone glanced at Nathan, who smiled and proclaimed, "How is that possible? I'm a gentleman. I wouldn't have hit him."
Kylie rolled her eyes and thought, Judging from your status, you probably wouldn't hit him personally. However, you might've instructed Colin and the others, to beat him up.
Penny thought that it would be enough, to merely evade Edric.
However, she did not expect Edric to knock on the door, entering the suite after the food was served.
Holding a bottle of Romanee-Conti red wine, he strode in with a smile. "Haha! So, you're in this suite. I've been looking for you for quite a while now."
"Since we haven't seen each other in ages, you wouldn't mind if I'd joined in your meal, right? Don't worry. The bill is on me!"
As Edric was her relative and it was rude to reject someone's good intentions, Penny had no choice but to say, "If it's alright for you, you can sit down and eat with us!"
Edric sat down delightedly beside Nathan. Looking at the mediocre white wine and beer on the table, he scoffed and mockingly uttered to Nathan, "Buddy, I'm not trying to criticize you, but aren't you doing too poorly in life? You aren't even willing to order a bottle of good wine!"
"Penny, this is a bottle of Romanee-Conti red wine that'd cost ten thousand. I'd brought it over here, specifically for you to taste."
As Edric spoke, he uncorked the bottle of red wine and poured everyone a glass of wine, all except Nathan.
In his opinion, as he was the one treating them to a meal, giving them red wine, Nathan did not deserve to drink his wine.
Furthermore, he wanted to embarrass Nathan in front of Penny.
The more embarrassed Nathan had felt, the more unique Edric would seem to the rest. This would increase his chances of stealing Penny's heart.
Raising his wine glass, Edric toasted Penny and the rest. He announced with a smile, "Everyone, have a taste of it.”
