Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1939

“If Mr. Hayden was a woman and stood beside Mr. Kevin, they would look like a match made in heaven. Even though they’re both men, when they stand together, it’ll give people the feeling that they’re husband and wife.

“It’s no wonder Mr. Kevin liked Mr. Hayden after just meeting him a few times. Say, do you think Mr. Hayden will accept Mr. Kevin’s pursuit in the end?”

Her colleague said, “How could that be? Mr. Hayden is a straight man. There’s no way he’ll accept Mr. Kevin. Besides, Mr. Kevin might not really like Mr. Hayden. I heard Mr. Hugh say that Mr. Kevin was urged to marry by the elders of his family. He didn’t like the noble girl his family arranged for him, so he came to Jensburg on the pretext of business trips.

“Furthermore, he’s using Mr. Hayden to create a sensation by saying that he likes men.”

The whispered discussion between the two receptionists was not heard by Hayden.

When she walked out of the office building, she instinctively looked toward the entrance first. Sure enough, she did not see Kevin’s figure. Only then did she feel relieved.

A few minutes later, her car drove out of Queen Enterprise escorted by several bodyguard cars.

On the other hand, where was Kevin, the person whom Hayden was so on guard against now?

He was waiting for Hayden’s return at the entrance of her private villa.

The new house he bought happened to be in this area, so he was able to come and go freely.

It was thanks to Hayden introducing a house to him that he could buy one here. Although the house was not renovated and he did not move in, he got an access card when he purchased a house here so he could enter and leave freely.

Kevin contacted an interior design firm and let them take care of the house renovation. He just needed to come over occasionally to check on their progress.

Kevin did not ring the doorbell so as to not alert the housekeeper in the villa for the time being.

Hayden liked the quiet, and because of her secret of disguising herself as a man, there were not many servants in her villa. Thus, if Kevin did not ring the doorbell, the people in the villa would not know that there was someone at the door.

Moreover, Kevin’s car was not parked in front. He was sitting in his car waiting for Hayden to return.

As the sun set, the person he was waiting for finally appeared.

When he saw Hayden’s car driving by, followed by several bodyguard cars, he said to himself, “She’s as ostentatious as Zachary.”
