Caroline was aware of everyone’s thoughts.

After entering the elevator, Caroline received a call. She only picked up the call after seeing the caller’s name.

“Ms. Caroline, I received news that the previous matriarch, who was your eldest aunt, did have two daughters. They disappeared tens of years ago. I heard they’re currently in Wiltspoon,”

Wiltspoon?

Caroline asked coldly, “Do you know where in Wiltspoon exactly? How are they doing now? Do they remember anything about their family background?”

“The elder daughter of the previous matriarch seems to have married into the Stone family in Wiltspoon. She’s the mother of the CEO of Stone Group. On the other hand, the younger daughter passed away in a car accident sixteen years ago, but she left two daughters behind. One of them is the missus of the York family, the wealthiest family in Wiltspoon.”

Upon hearing that, Caroline’s expression changed.

She heard some gossip after returning to the Fisher family. She happened to have overheard the elders of the family discussing it in private.

She knew the position of the matriarch did not belong to her mom initially.

Her mom only managed to obtain the position after killing her sisters.

The previous matriarch was Caroline’s eldest aunt, who had two daughters. However, after her eldest aunt’s family died, the two children went missing. Everyone believed that the children had most likely encountered a misfortune.

After Caroline returned to the Fisher family, the Fishers were disappointed to see her weak personality. They were worried the Fisher family would end up in the hands of the adoptive daughter, Celine.

Therefore, they kept looking for information on the whereabouts of Caroline’s cousins behind her mom’s back.

They hoped her cousins were still alive.

Caroline held her phone tightly and replied calmly, “Investigate further on this. It has to be 100 percent accurate. I don’t want to listen to rumors or hearsay. Also, pass me all the information you have on Mrs. Stone as soon as possible.”

Serenity was already a well-known figure in the upper-class societies of many cities, so she did not have to research her.

Moreover, information about Serenity was already public and transparent. There was nothing more to find out.

In contrast, Caroline was not clear about Mrs. Stone’s information.
