Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2230

Dr. Carden’s name was well-known. Those who have not seen her before thought a doctor skilled in both medicine and toxicology with a good reputation would be middle-aged.

“Dr. Carden, this is my fiancée, Camryn Newman,” Callum introduced.

Lilian knew right away that Camryn was the patient when she saw Callum assisting an unfamiliar woman walking in.

“Ms. Newman.”

Lilian knew Camryn relied on her hearing to determine a person’s location. Therefore, she greeted Camryn.

Camryn had been facing the stairs after she entered the house.

She turned to Lilian’s direction upon hearing her voice. A smile appeared on her beautiful face. “Nice to meet you, Dr. Carden.”

“Come here and sit, Ms. Newman. I’ll conduct a basic examination.”

Lilian did not hesitate to ask Callum to help Camryn walk over and sit beside her. She would be conducting some simple checkups on Camryn.

Callum quickly aided Camryn to walk over.

Even Grandma May, who had been sitting beside Lilian, made way for Camryn to sit close to Lilian.

After Lilian examined Camryn’s eyes, she said, “Ms. Newman’s blindness was caused by poison.

“You must’ve received effective treatment before, Ms. Newman. You can detect some light now, right?”

Camryn nodded. She said, “Aunt Evelyn brought me to various doctors and places to search for a cure after I went blind. I’ve gone to many ophthalmologists and received countless treatments. Most of them were ineffective. However, I did meet a famous doctor once. I found his treatment effective.

Camryn’s eyes would have already recovered if that doctor did not die.

The doctor must have had exceptional skills. It was a pity that the doctor passed away. Otherwise, Lilian would have wished to meet the doctor and have a friendly exchange.

“I’ll prescribe a month’s worth of medicine. I’ll observe your condition when you finish it before giving you more.”

Camryn was stunned. She asked, “Don’t I have to undergo surgery, Dr. Carden?”

“Your aunt would’ve had a doctor operate on your eyes from the start if you needed one. Your eyes were already healing. However, you’re still blind to this day because the doctor passed away, and no one continued the treatment for you.

“Thanks to that doctor, I don’t need to spend too much effort to treat your eyes. Giving you some medicine will suffice. I can guarantee you’ll be able to see Mr. Callum’s face before your wedding.”
