As Grandma May used to say, they rarely had the chance to taste Zachary’s cooking. Only she would dare to request him to cook while the rest would not have the guts to do so.
After Serenity joined the family, Zachary became a permanent crew in the kitchen. They got lucky because of her.
If they were at Wildridge Manor, Zachary would ensure anything Serenity wished for would be fulfilled to make her happy.
He promised he would make every woman envious of Serenity, and he delivered.
Zachary entered the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
After standing in silence for two minutes, Dylan walked out of the main house to look for Grandma May in the garden.
She was dancing to the music played on a speaker instead of exercising.
Dylan was speechless. He hated dancing.
Once he started working and earned his first salary, he bought a house in a neighborhood near his company. He thought it would be convenient for him to travel to and fro his work but alas, the ladies in the neighborhood would dance day and night with music so loud, it annoyed him tremendously.
Other residents tried talking sense into the ladies, but it was useless. Extreme methods such as pouring water or throwing eggs at them only started fights and the issue was not solved.
The dancing ladies would even use the courts, snatching places where children played sports.
In the end, Dylan could no longer stand the noise and sold the house. For the sake of his peace, he bought a villa far from the unreasonable ladies. The management in the new neighborhood was much better too.
Right then, Dylan was speechless as he watched his beloved nana dancing too.
Luckily, she was only dancing in the garden with an acceptable music volume. Zachary and Serenity could not hear it from the inside, and it would not disturb others.
When Grandma May felt another’s presence, she stopped dancing and turned around. She switched off the music when she spotted Dylan.
“You all are desperate to avoid me and won’t come to me voluntarily. You don’t have to put on an act in front of me. I’ve watched all of you grow up. I know you inside out.”
“It’s nothing. Only I’ve been having the same dream lately. I was involved with a woman in my dream, but she’s not the girl you chose for me.”
Grandma May turned her head and asked him, “Can you draw the face of the woman in your dreams?”
Dylan immediately took a piece of paper from his pocket and passed it to her.
“I figured you’d ask, so I drew her based on my recollection of the dream before I came over.”
Grandma May took the paper and opened it to see a portrait of a woman drawn by him with a pencil.
“Mm, your drawing’s great. It looks like a real person. Your skills have yet again improved,” she praised.
