Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2327

Dylan’s face twitched.

Grandma May returned the drawing to him after taking a look at it.

“Nana.”

The old lady raised her hand to stop him from talking. She said, “It was your dream. If you have questions, you should be the one looking for answers. What use is there in asking me? I’m not a know-it-all.”

With a bitter face, Dylan said, “But you’ve already chosen a wife for me and handed me her picture. I’m going to look for her anytime now, but both she and the woman in my dreams aren’t the same person.

“The men of the York family never divorce or have an affair. I don’t want to be the first York to dishonor his wife.”

Grandma May still looked uninterested. “I’ve said that it’s your problem. You should investigate it and find the issue. If you’re having those dreams because I’ve chosen someone for you, you should look for her.”

“Nana!”

Dylan sat beside her and held her arm to whine. “Don’t you love me anymore, Nana? You always say that I’m your favorite. Can you put up with making your favorite grandson the first in the family to do a disservice to his wife?”

“You must’ve misheard. My favorite grandson has always been my eldest one. I like Zack the most. You all pale in comparison to him.”

“You definitely said it before. You just forgot about it, Nana.”

Since whining did not work, Dylan tried to look pitiful.

“Nana, please have mercy on me. If I were to do such a thing in the future, my mom and aunts would never forgive me.”

“Don’t worry. I won’t be a bystander.”

“Of course, provided you have a wife. You don’t even have a girlfriend now. Even if I have superpowers, I can’t change your wife for you.”

Dylan was again at a loss for words.

The York boys were elites and business tycoons in the society but they could not even win against their nana in a verbal fight or flee her arrangements.

“I misspoke, Nana. What I meant to say was if you could change my potential partner. The girl you picked for me isn’t the one who appeared in my dreams. I believe I might have some kind of romantic affinity with the woman in my dreams.

“Since we’ll be together in the future, it’s wiser if I marry her from the start. This way, I won’t hurt the sweet girl you’ve chosen for me too. All of us believe in your eye for people, Nana.

“The potential partners you chose for us must be someone who excels in various aspects. A jerk like me shouldn’t be hurting such an outstanding girl.”

Dylan did not even hesitate to label himself as a jerk. He simply wanted his nana to let him off the hook.
