Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2916

Camryn was rendered speechless for a moment. Then, she said, “Maybe I didn’t want you to get involved because it was a fight between sisters. I didn’t see you taking any action against Carrie in my dream.”

Callum turned Camryn toward himself and bit her lips lightly. “Am I not the most important person to you? You always turn to Dal instead of me whenever you have a problem, right?”

“There you go again. Being all jealous of Dal again. He’s already married. You shouldn’t say such things. Melissa might misunderstand, and it’ll affect their relationship.”

Camryn was speechless about Callum's jealousy of Dalton.

Despite her countless explanations, Callum still viewed Dalton as a love rival.

However, he was closer to Dalton than anyone else whenever Dalton came over to visit.

“I’m used to solving problems myself because of the environment I grew up in. That was why even when Carrie and I were fighting in my dream, I never thought of having anyone help me teach her a lesson.

“Dal is simply repaying his gratitude. He treats me well, and we support each other like siblings. I’ve told you about it many times, but you probably weren’t paying attention. You always get jealous of him.”

Callum hugged Camryn tightly and muttered something. She missed his words because she was trying to get him to loosen his grip.

Dalton did have romantic feelings for Camryn. He simply did not express it. However, Callum could sense it.

Any man would react the same as Callum. He could not help but be wary of a man who previously had feelings for his wife. If his wife showed the man concern, he would start overthinking and worry about them having an affair.

Callum had welcomed Dalton enthusiastically every time as a warning. He was simply reminding Dalton not to have any improper thoughts about Camryn and that he was nothing more than Camryn’s brother. Besides, Dalton was already married. He could not betray his wife.

“I can’t sleep. Let’s get up.”

The couple’s sleepiness had disappeared as they chatted.
