Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2964

Austin was an adult. He definitely would have carefully considered it before deciding what he wanted. None of the York men had ever done something on impulse.

Tania was not willing to let Austin go off and become a chef possibly because she thought it would embarrass her.

Regardless, he was still a York.

“Mom, where’s Austin thinking of working?”

After Serenity advised her mother-in-law, she asked curiously.

She wondered which restaurant or perhaps a hotel had managed to lure her brother-in-law into wanting to work for them.

Tania said, “He isn’t going to work for a big hotel or anything like that. He wants to work as someone’s private chef and it’s not even in Wiltspoon—it’s in some other city.”

Serenity’s eyes lit up and she asked, “Mom, is it possible that the family of the girl Nana’s looking to matchmake Austin with needs a chef, and he’s using this opportunity to get closer to her? Do you know who Nana picked out for him?”

Tania was taken aback for a moment before she said, “I have no idea at all. I only know that she’s picked out candidates for Dylan and Peter. I thought she hadn’t started looking for matches for Austin and River yet.”

River had only just been introduced to the public and Grandma May would definitely not pick someone for him so quickly.

Austin, however, had been working for a few years now. He just kept a low profile because he was Zachary’s younger brother. If others knew his identity, they would look at him with biased eyes. If he achieved results, they would assume it was due to his brother’s help.

That was why he did not want to live in his brother’s shadow and kept a very low profile. When he went for business meetings, he did not tell anyone that he was Zachary’s brother and even went as far as to say he had no connection to York Corporation.

It was true that the business he owned had no connection to York Corporation whatsoever, not even business dealings.

It was very stressful to have such an outstanding brother as the second-born himself. There was a huge tendency for others to compare the brothers.

“Once Nana gets back, I’ll see if I can find anything out of her.”
